桦林心影

清荷

几年前在网上看到人们拍摄的俄勒冈州包门植林场桦树林的美片，马上被迷住，于是此地列入我必访名单。

2016年的某天在网上看到此消息：

A distinct Eastern Oregon landmark will no longer exist within a year.

Rows and rows of seemingly endless, symmetrical poplar trees that line Interstate 84 for six miles near Boardman will soon be gone.

One-third of the Boardman Tree Farm sold last fall to a commercial dairy farm. A Washington agriculture company bought the rest of the land in early 2016 for irrigation crops, such as corn and potatoes. The total property sale closed for more than $65 million.

The trees were planted in the 1990s for timber, paper and biofuel production. Portland-based GreenWood Resources purchased the 25,000 acre tree farm in 2007 from Potlatch Corporation.

"It's going to be sad to see them go."

此消息令人惊讶难过，于是在秋天来临之时立即前往，因早去了二周，没有看到最美的风景，今年和朋友去俄勒冈扫秋，无意得知此树林仍有一小部分还没砍掉，当机立断动身前往，看到了令人心醉的秋桦林，这也许是最后一次机会了，希望我的图片能留下永久美好的记忆 。谢谢Frank Jiang配图的诗文！
