这是我第三次来到‘大宁河’，山仍然是那山，葱茏。水仍然是那水，澄碧。山水依旧，人物己非……

几个古铜色皮肤的“纤夫”，肩上搭着白色搭肩，脚穿草鞋，喊着震天的号子，费力地拉着货船，像蚂蚁般行进。

哇！女纤夫！这位拉船的女纤夫，赤着脚，她究竟贫困无奈到了何种地步啊！这种镜头只在反映旧社会生活的影片中看见过。

就是这样，在摔倒了爬起来，爬起来又摔倒中一步一步地往前移动脚步。

遇到这样的小溪，水位最高的地方才一两米，多数只有一尺左右，乱石浅滩之上，很难划桨，行船只有靠拉纤。

拉纤主要是为了运输货物，每条船的货物重达3000多斤，几个纤夫显得很吃力。

一枝长竿合力使

几块木板钉成的小木屋，就是他们的简陋的家，屋顶就一块大帆布。涨水、退朝，退朝又涨水。

可能是脚下有青苔，她摇晃了几下，多亏手里的树枝拐杖，才没有摔倒。

寒冬腊月、滴水成冰的季节，纤夫们背着僵绳，发出惊天动地的吆喝……

一口沙哑的船工号子有声无字，“嗨，嗨哟哟，嗬嗨，拖呀，拖拖拖……”每当逆水行船或遇上险滩恶水时，全靠纤夫合力拉纤，号子声声，空谷回荡。

她闭着眼，双手摸着往前爬……

如今，大宁河上的纤夫己不再拉纤或己经消失。人们很难看到“一步一叩首”的拉纤场景，这组图片，除了这两个把船从“大宁河”拉到了重庆朝天门的假纤夫，其余的几位都是“大宁河”地地道道的纤夫，他们还原了一段纤夫的生存历史与精神，对比了时代的变迁，同样可以让人从中受到啟迪，领悟精神，纤夫已经不在，但纤夫精神永存。
