<h3><font style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">步兵第416团工兵连，1985年9月成立于陕西省潼关县，由特务连工兵排扩编而成。1985年12月，连队组建不久即开赴云南老山地区，参加对越防御作战，从临战训练结束进入阵地开始，一直到作战结束，阵地上每天都有排雷布雷任务，每个人始终处在高度紧张状态，于1987年4月换防撤回。1987年5月，成都军区给连队记集体一等功。连队团支部被共青团甘肃省委、兰州军区政治部评为“双立功活动先进集体”，并授予“前线将士英勇杀敌，后方青年创业立功”奖旗一面。有5人荣立一等功,7人荣立二等功，十多人荣立三等功。</font></h3> <h3><font style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">三十年岁月过去，工兵连集结号再次吹响，散落在全国各地的战友们盼望着重逢，通过各种渠道寻找失散的战友，央视一套等着我栏目为工兵连制作一期寻找战友的节目，朴实无华的战友深情感动了全国人民，在各方努力之下，工兵连幸存战友全部找到，2016年10月14－16日，全体战友齐聚古都西安，重逢的喜悦无法言表，虽然我们已白发染鬓，虽然我们已经老去，可我们在战场上结下的生死战友情却一点没有减少，就像当年在战场上那样，每一名工兵身后都有战友在保护他的生命，让我们这些亲如兄弟的战友们在未来的岁月里不离不弃。
