<p class="ql-block">  Soppose you will be teaching the first</p><p class="ql-block">Chinese culture in a school abroad.</p><p class="ql-block">What kind of atmosphere will you </p><p class="ql-block">create in your classroom?</p><p class="ql-block"> How can you create an atmosphere</p><p class="ql-block">for learning Chinese while you are</p><p class="ql-block">teaching abroad?</p><p class="ql-block"> The class atmosphere is two-folded</p><p class="ql-block">It includes the physical atmosphere </p><p class="ql-block">and the psychological one.</p><p class="ql-block"> Physically,first of all,the </p><p class="ql-block">classroom layout matters.For example</p><p class="ql-block">if we pay some more attention to our </p><p class="ql-block">seating plan-like who and who sitting</p><p class="ql-block">together,and whether we need to</p><p class="ql-block">change the seating plan from time to</p><p class="ql-block">time-it may benefit our teaching and</p><p class="ql-block">learning.</p><p class="ql-block"> Effective decorations are also</p><p class="ql-block">necessary,because the decoration</p><p class="ql-block">related to a school subject is a very</p><p class="ql-block"> good reminder to the students-like</p><p class="ql-block">where they are and what they can do.</p><p class="ql-block"> Some necessary technology and</p><p class="ql-block">equipments are also vital,such as</p><p class="ql-block">multimedia appliances and teaching</p><p class="ql-block">kits,which can provide the students</p><p class="ql-block">with a better aural and visual effect.</p><p class="ql-block"> Psychologically,in the first place,</p><p class="ql-block">teachers and students will feel</p><p class="ql-block">comfortable and confident in a friendly</p><p class="ql-block">atmosphere.This requires teachers and</p><p class="ql-block">students to respect,trust and support</p><p class="ql-block">each other.Meanwhile,teaching and</p><p class="ql-block"> learning steps and activities should be</p><p class="ql-block">kept at the right pace.</p><p class="ql-block"> To be specific in a Chinese lesson</p><p class="ql-block">we can include some Chinese </p><p class="ql-block">elements,when we create the right</p><p class="ql-block">atmosphere.For example,we can</p><p class="ql-block"> name different teams and groups</p><p class="ql-block">after Chinese cities or dynasties.We </p><p class="ql-block"> can also decorated the classroom</p><p class="ql-block"> with Chinese paintings,calligraphy </p><p class="ql-block">and the China Knows.</p><p class="ql-block"> We can try to Introduce Chinese</p><p class="ql-block">etiquette to the class,like everyone</p><p class="ql-block">standing straight and greeting each </p><p class="ql-block">other in the beginning of a lesson.</p><p class="ql-block"> What's more,we should</p><p class="ql-block"> understand the local people and </p><p class="ql-block">culture and show our respect,</p><p class="ql-block">because mutual understanding and</p><p class="ql-block">respect is the key part of a friendly</p><p class="ql-block">atmosphere.</p><p class="ql-block"> Last but not least,we need to</p><p class="ql-block"> make our Chinese lessons fun so that</p><p class="ql-block">the students won't be afraid of them</p><p class="ql-block">but love them,and they will feel</p><p class="ql-block">comfortable and confident.More</p><p class="ql-block">importantly,this will keep the</p><p class="ql-block"> students,so some of them might </p><p class="ql-block">continue learning Chinese in thefuture.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p>
