<p class="ql-block"> You are teaching Chinese in a school abroad.The Department of MFL is </p><p class="ql-block">hoping that you could run a Chinese</p><p class="ql-block">club.What would you do for that?</p><p class="ql-block">How can you make some preparations</p><p class="ql-block">to run an after-school club or organise</p><p class="ql-block">an event?</p><p class="ql-block"> An after-school club or event is a </p><p class="ql-block">very good platform to promote </p><p class="ql-block">Chinese language and culture abroad.</p><p class="ql-block">Running such a club or organising</p><p class="ql-block">such an event also shows my </p><p class="ql-block">eagerness of being involved in school</p><p class="ql-block">life and offering more to my students .</p><p class="ql-block">It can benefit the school，the students</p><p class="ql-block">and myself.</p><p class="ql-block"> First of all，I should come up with a mature idea or plan about running the</p><p class="ql-block">club or event，including what it will be</p><p class="ql-block">like，for whom，how long，how oftenit will be，and how it will benefit the</p><p class="ql-block">school and the students.</p><p class="ql-block">Then I'll share my idea with the person</p><p class="ql-block">in charge，for example，the Head of</p><p class="ql-block">MFL，and I'll ask him or her for advice</p><p class="ql-block">and permission.</p><p class="ql-block"> Next I'll try to promote my club or </p><p class="ql-block">event.I can ask the Head of MFL for </p><p class="ql-block">advice and find some proper ways to</p><p class="ql-block">do this.Assemblies，posters，window</p><p class="ql-block">exhibitions and outdoor activities all</p><p class="ql-block">look good.</p><p class="ql-block"> Of course，I need to get some</p><p class="ql-block">basic materials ready，like books，</p><p class="ql-block">tools，et cetera. </p><p class="ql-block"> After the club starts，I need to </p><p class="ql-block">keep it as fancy and attractive as</p><p class="ql-block">possible，but above all，the club</p><p class="ql-block">itself should be practical because</p><p class="ql-block">that keeps the attendants to stay.</p><p class="ql-block">On the other hand ，I know it happens</p><p class="ql-block">that an after-school club loses </p><p class="ql-block">attendants after it kicks off ，but I </p><p class="ql-block">think I can do something to keep them</p><p class="ql-block">For example，I can ask them what </p><p class="ql-block">they are interested in，not just teach </p><p class="ql-block">what I want to teach them.Then we</p><p class="ql-block"> can accordingly do an interesting and</p><p class="ql-block">special project thoughtout a term.In </p><p class="ql-block">this way，they might be attracted by</p><p class="ql-block">their own project，and so long as they</p><p class="ql-block">keep coming and are interested in</p><p class="ql-block">Chinese language and culture，the </p><p class="ql-block"> club or the event is a success.</p>
