<p class="ql-block">  今天(农历二月十九日)是观音菩萨的生日‌,佛教中被称为“观音诞”,是佛教非常重要的节日之一。</p><p class="ql-block">Today (the 19th day of the second lunar month) is the birthday of Guanyin Bodhisattva. In Buddhism, it is called "Guanyin's Birthday" and it is one of the very important festivals in Buddhism.</p> <p class="ql-block">  为什么叫“南山寺”?1995年,赵朴初与60余名佛教界、建筑界著名人士到三亚考察选址,选中了三亚崖城鸭仔塘村旁背山面海的一大片空地,正好这个地方的名字就叫南山,南山寺由此得名。</p><p class="ql-block">Why is it called "Nanshan Temple"? In 1995, Zhao Puchu and over 60 renowned figures from the Buddhist and architectural circles came to Sanya for site selection. They chose a large area of vacant land beside the village of Yazi Tang in Yacheng, Sanya, which was backed by mountains and faced the sea. Coincidentally, this place was named Nanshan, and thus the Nanshan Temple got its name.</p> <p class="ql-block">  南山寺,位于海南省三亚市的西部,坐落于南山山腰,面朝南海,仿照唐朝建筑,占地400亩。</p><p class="ql-block">Nanshan Temple is located in the west of Sanya City, Hainan Province. It is situated on the slope of Nanshan Mountain and faces the South China Sea. It is modeled after the architecture of the Tang Dynasty and covers an area of 400 mu.</p> <p class="ql-block"> “福如东海‌,寿比南山”,体现了中国人对长寿和幸福的追求。在南山寺的背景下,这句话更显得庄重而神圣。</p><p class="ql-block">"Fame is as boundless as the sea, and longevity surpasses that of the mountains," embodies the Chinese people's pursuit of longevity and happiness. Against the backdrop of Nanshan Temple, this saying takes on a more solemn and sacred connotation.</p> <p class="ql-block">  南山寺的水陆法会,通常持续七天七夜。法会包括放生、拜忏、诵经等多种佛事活动,是佛教的重要仪式,具有深厚的宗教意义和文化价值。</p><p class="ql-block">The Water and Fire Ritual held at Nanshan Temple usually lasts for seven days and seven nights. The ritual includes various Buddhist activities such as releasing captive animals, praying for forgiveness, and chanting scriptures. It is an important ceremony in Buddhism and holds profound religious significance and cultural value.</p> <p class="ql-block"> 每年12月31日晚,南山寺会举行撞钟迎新活动。游客可以在南山寺吉祥钟亭按顺序敲响108钟声,辞旧迎新,祈愿国泰民安。</p><p class="ql-block">Every year on December 31st, Nan Shan Temple holds a New Year's greeting activity by ringing the bell. Tourists can ring the 108 bells in sequence at the auspicious bell pavilion of Nan Shan Temple to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the new one, praying for national peace and people's well-being.</p> <p class="ql-block">  带着崇敬的心来到南山寺,走过了这样的青山绿水……</p><p class="ql-block">With a heart full of reverence, I came to Nanshan Temple and walked through such green mountains and clear waters...</p> <p class="ql-block">END</p>
