Dear Teacher Gao, Good Sunday!

It is sunny and windless today. This is a rare fine weather in winter in Beijing. Some people like me living around Houshayu district, must go to the Big Market. This Big Market is located on the shore of Luoma Lake. When driving here, I would park my car in the free parking space by the lake, and then walk along the lake shore, enjoying the beautiful scenery. From time to time, many waterbirds sometimes soaring and sometimes singing loudly. Running enthusiasts in twos and threes will overtake me from time to time, showing the beauty of health and vitality.

I entered the market soon. The Big Market is another scenery. The beauty of the Big Market lies in the dazzling array of local specialties and various uncommon fruits and vegetables. After seeing them, my appetite will be greatly aroused, and the impulse to buy will come from this. The beauty of the Big Market also lies in being able to appreciate the distinctive hawking of vendors. Some are deafening shouts. The hawking sounds echo in the narrow alley. Listeners will be drawn to his stall by his yell. Some are murmuring constantly, supplemented by constantly fiddling with the goods on the stall, trying to attract the attention of passers-by. The placement of goods also reflects the business mind of each stall owner. Some stall owners show off a lot. With large quantities and good prices, the fruits piled up like small hills will attract the attention of fairgoers from a distance, making you feel that this bargain cannot be missed and you must squeeze over and grab a bag. There are also some stall owners who spend a little thought and divide fruits and vegetables into small piles and put them in small plates one by one and sell them by the pile, making you feel much cheaper. If you don't buy it, you will feel at a loss. So, squeezing back and forth in the narrow market, you will soon buy a large bag without spending much money. Then, walking back slowly, you will find many rare items, such as barrels of tobacco shreds like gold.

Of course, there are also many breakfasts, mutton soup, meat buns, fried cakes, zeng cakes, pancakes, and fried dough twists, and so on. At any time, they can fill my stomach that feels rumbling. After eating, the weekly fair activity will be ended with satisfaction.

Sincerely, Dr. Zhang
