MeHA2024 感恩节活动在RBWH举行

2024年11月19日，致力于推动可持续医疗实践和医疗系统数字化转型的非营利组织MeHA（又名GSDVIA）在皇家布里斯班妇女医院（RBWH）癌症关爱中心 “You Can Care”单元举办了一场特别的感恩节活动。此次活动旨在表达对生活方方面面的感恩——家庭、健康、友谊，以及日夜不懈工作的医护团队无价的贡献。

今年的感恩节活动是MeHA向RBWH的医护人员致敬的机会，同时庆祝他们在抗击癌症方面的不懈努力。MeHA主席Michelle Lee博士、秘书长兼董事会成员Nanette Hinsch女士以及其他董事会成员，与RBWH的重要嘉宾共同出席了活动，包括：

• Louise Oriti女士，皇家布里斯班妇女医院及北大都会医院与健康服务执行董事

• Glen Kennedy教授，RBWH癌症护理服务执行董事

• Simone Garske女士，RBWH基金会首席执行官

活动在RBWH基金会办公室举行了欢迎仪式，期间参会者参观了癌症护理服务中心以及昆士兰唯一的CAR-T细胞实验室。该实验室现场生产和提供CAR-T细胞治疗，这是一种突破性的癌症治疗方法。

活动的第一部分带来了精彩的文艺表演。著名古筝演奏家Anita Huang演奏了《战台风》，随后由包国庆女士指挥的乐之声合唱团带来了优美的《Beautiful Dreamer》和《You Raise Me Up》。此外，昆士兰八卦太极协会还呈现了优雅的木兰双扇表演，为活动增添了浓厚的文化氛围。

活动的第二部分聚焦捐赠环节。MeHA为癌症护理中心的医护人员和患者送上了圣诞礼物，包括雪橇礼篮、感恩幸运树、祝福礼袋等，并向CAR-T细胞研究项目慷慨捐赠了2万澳元。为感谢MeHA对RBWH的持续支持，Lee博士、Kennedy教授和Garske女士向活动捐赠者颁发了感谢证书。

此外，MeHA还向RBWH基金会全体员工赠送了大礼包，而Garske女士则代表RBWH基金会向MeHA和Lee博士颁发了感谢证书，表达了对MeHA团队的衷心感谢。

活动在温馨的感谢辞中落下帷幕。Garske女士高度评价了MeHA多年来对医疗事业和RBWH基金会使命的支持。MeHA也借此机会向所有参会者送上了充满希望、喜悦、和平与健康的祝愿。Lee博士在发言中强调：“我们真诚地鼓励每一个人支持癌症护理中心——微小的贡献也能产生巨大的影响。”

MeHA 2024 Thanksgiving at RBWH: A Celebration of Gratitude and Giving

On November 19th, 2024, MeHA (also known as GSDVIA), a non-profit organization

committed to promoting sustainable healthcare practices and the digital

transformation of healthcare systems, hosted a special Thanksgiving event at the

Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital (RBWH) Cancer Care "You Can Care" unit. The event

was held to express gratitude for all aspects of life—family, health, friendships, and

the invaluable contributions of healthcare teams who work tirelessly day and night to

provide care and support.

This year’s Thanksgiving gathering was an opportunity for MeHA to acknowledge and

show appreciation for the dedicated healthcare professionals at RBWH and celebrate

their ongoing efforts in the fight against cancer. MeHA’s President, Dr. Michelle Lee,

along with Ms. Nanette Hinsch, Director and Secretary General of MeHA, and the Board

of Directors, were joined by key figures from the RBWH, including:

• Ms. Louise Oriti, Executive Director of Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital,

Metro North Hospital and Health Service

• Prof. Glen Kennedy, Executive Director of Cancer Care Services, RBWH

• Ms. Simone Garske, CEO of RBWH Foundation

The event began with a welcoming ceremony at the RBWH Foundation Office, where

attendees were introduced to the Cancer Care Services Unit and taken on a tour of the

Car-T Cell Lab. This lab is the only facility in Queensland that provides onsite

manufacturing and delivery of CAR-T cell therapy, a groundbreaking treatment for

cancer.

The first section of the event featured stunning performances. Anita Huang, a highly

decorated Guzheng musician, performed "Conquer of Typhoon," followed by the

Coastal Melody Choir, conducted by Ms. Bao Guoqing, who led the choir in the

beautiful renditions of "Beautiful Dreamer" and "You Raise Me Up." The Ba Gua Tai Chi

Association Queensland also presented a graceful Mulan Double Fan performance,

adding a cultural touch to the celebration.

The second section of the event focused on donations. MeHA presented a range of

Christmas gifts for the cancer care staff and patients, including Sled Hampers,

Thanksgiving Lucky Trees, Best Wish Gift Bags, and a generous donation of $20,000

for the Car-T Cell research project. In recognition of MeHA's commitment to supporting

RBWH, Dr. Lee, Prof. Kennedy, and Ms. Garske presented Certificates of Appreciation

to the donors who made the event possible.

In a heartfelt gesture, MeHA also gifted a Big Goody Box to all RBWH Foundation staff,

and CEO Ms. Garske presented an "Appreciation Certificate" to MeHA and Dr. Lee on

behalf of the MeHA team to receive it. The event concluded with a warm expression of

thanks, as Ms. Garske acknowledged the invaluable contributions of MeHA in

supporting healthcare and the RBWH Foundation’s mission over the years.

As the Thanksgiving event came to a close, MeHA extended heartfelt wishes for

continued hope, joy, peace, and good health to everyone in attendance. They

expressed deep gratitude for the collective support that empowers organizations like

MeHA and RBWH to create lasting change in healthcare and improve the lives of

patients. As our President, Dr. Michelle Lee, emphasized, “We sincerely encourage

everyone to support the Cancer Care Unit—small contributions can make a big
