我家住在太平洋东海岸，旧金山湾区，这个湾区人们叫她硅谷。硅谷有十几所大学，最有名的是斯坦福大学和伯克利大学，其中斯坦福大学从我家出发步行一个小时就会到，还有几千家高新技术公司组成的新兴工业区。

下午主人回来，看到桌子上的喜欢吃的饼干被糟蹋得一无是处，感到很伤心。母鸡过来说：“主人，您的饼干被老鼠吃了。”并且把猫不捉老鼠的原因也告诉了主人，主人这才意识到自己偏爱母鸡的结果，从此，主人也经常给猫适量的食物。
