The roads were good and often had sea views. I stopped often along the way.

Carbon fibre trekking poles for couples in California. They highly recommended it to me.

A French pilgrim of my age. She has 4 children and 7 grandchildren. She had travelled over 1600 kilometres on her pilgrimage through France and Spain, starting from her front door in mid-July.

At 12.30pm I arrived in the small town of Finisterre. It's more than 3km from the lighthouse, the 'end of the world'. Today I stayed at the Albergue Oceanus Finisterre, which was only available at 2pm. I put my backpack down and walked around the town first.

Port of Finisterre. There were a lot of small boats in the harbour that looked like fishing boats.

After having lunch at the harbour and checking into the albergue, I walked towards the lighthouse.

I took a picture in front of the milestone marking 0 kilometres. I've probably covered more than 670 kilometres so far today and I'm grateful that I haven't had any major problems. Special thanks to the shoes under my feet. The soles of my shoes haven't smoothed out after all this distance. I celebrated with a glass of red wine at the lighthouse. Picked up my walking certificate at the tourist centre in town.

After dinner I tried to walk to the beach, only to find it was all rock and no sand. There was a long sandy beach before we got to the town and I kept thinking there would be a beach when we got to the town. I regretted not going to the beach.
