<p class="ql-block">（头马演讲现场片段）</p> <p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;"> 高一（17）飞亚</span></p><p class="ql-block"></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;"> My favourite movie</span></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">Hi, everybody！Good morning！</span></p><p class="ql-block"></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">I am a huge movie fan. I have watched plentiful exquisite movies. Every genre is in my dabbling. Horror, romance, action, science fiction, and comedy etc. But this special movie that’s full of creativity always catches my heart - “A dog’s purpose” </span></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">Simply saying, the story is about a dog’s life. Based on the beloved bestselling novel by an American writer, W. Bruce Cameron, A Dog’s Purpose, shares the soulful and surprising story of one devoted dog who finds the meaning of his own existence through the lives of his owners. </span></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">We are told that cats have nine lives. But this time the credit was given to this dog call bailey. In the movie, it has gone through four lives. </span></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">Let me tell you briefly about the touching story.</span></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">The dog is born as a Golden Retriever. Leaving his cage at a puppy mill, he is taken by two garbage men who plan to sell him, but fortunately he is rescued by a kindhearted mother and her eight-year-old son Ethan. They bring him home, naming him Bailey. Bailey and Ethan bond quickly. Ethan has gone through a wonderful childhood with Bailey.</span></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">At home one night, Ethan's drunken father becomes abusive towards his mother and him. Ethan orders him to leave and never return. Later, Ethan is offered a full scholarship to Michigan. That night, his classmate Todd throws a lit firecracker into Ethan's house, causing a fire. Bailey alerts Ethan, who saves his mother out through an upstairs . </span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;"></span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">However, Ethan loses his rope and fractures his leg ending his athletic career. Bailey attacks that arsonist, who is arrested by the police. Now, depressed, Ethan breaks up with his sweetheart Hannah and goes to an agricultural school, while Bailey stays with Ethan's grandparents. Last, Bailey died with Ethan by his side.</span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;"></span></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">When the second life comes, Bailey is reborn as a female German Shepherd puppy, growing into a police dog named and partnered with lonely officer Carlos Ruiz. They form a close bond, ending after Ellie saves a kidnapped girl and is then fatally shot by the kidnapper while protecting Carlos.</span></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">Reborn in the mid-1980s as a male Corgi, Bailey is adopted by Atlanta college student Maya, who names him Tino. As a now elderly Tino dies, he thanks Maya for giving him one of his best lives.</span></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">Bailey reincarnates again, this time as a St. Bernard/Australian Shepherd mix puppy. After several years, he was abandoned. He searches for a new life, gradually making his way back where he spent summers as Bailey. He joyfully reunites with his old master Ethan, now in his 60s, lonely on his grandparents' old farm. </span></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">Finally sensing that he has found his true purpose, he reunites Ethan with Hannah and shows Ethan that he is his beloved childhood dog, by performing tricks and responding to phrases that were known only to the two of them many years back. </span></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">I love this movie so much because of two inspirations it has brought to me.</span></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">First, this movie is heartwarming, insightful, and often laugh-out-loud funny. A Dog's Purpose is not only the emotional and hilarious story of a dog's many lives, but also a dog's-eye commentary on human relationships and the unbreakable bonds between man and man's best friend. </span></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">Second, it has an interesting and creative view of narrating the whole story, a dog’s view. In the way, this movie gives Bailey(the dog) the ability to think like a human and tells the audience it’s thoughts from it’s perspective. That gives us a whole different kind of feeling. </span></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size:20px;">This is a movie that is intended to reinforce the idea that animals are sentient and we should love and protect them.
