The pastoral life <p class="ql-block">I'm city born and city bred. I used to think that city life has all kinds of advantages and conveniences, and nothing in the country life can be compared with the big cities.</p> <p class="ql-block">But since I went to Tauranga, New Zealand, the quiet pastoral life there has always attracted to me.</p> <p class="ql-block">In the Spring Festival of 2018, when I was traveling in New Zealand.</p> <p class="ql-block">I went to our friend Candy Yan's home staying for a few days.</p> <p class="ql-block">There are the clean atmosphere, the closeness to nature and the gentle pace of living.</p> <p class="ql-block">I realized indeed what is the real pastoral life.</p> <p class="ql-block">Here are a few snippets of our lives while we lived there:</p> <p class="ql-block">Early in the morning, the birds outside the window waked me up.</p> <p class="ql-block">After breakfast, we mowed the lawn, fed the cattle, looked at the scenery and chatted with each other.</p> <p class="ql-block">Then, picked blueberries,</p> <p class="ql-block">soaked in wild hot springs.</p> <p class="ql-block">At night, counted the stars, listened to the sound of the waves on the nearby beach and fell asleep slowly...</p> <p class="ql-block">Do you want to know how they live with their family and friends?Perhaps it will inspire you to generate more `illusions of pastoral peace′.</p> <p class="ql-block">Sunset in front of the door, stars in the night sky, a shell washed ashore by the waves.</p> <p class="ql-block">Taking the family yacht to the sea to catch fish.</p> <p class="ql-block">Mountain hunting.</p> <p class="ql-block">Build the house by themselves.</p> <p class="ql-block">Friends get together…</p> <p class="ql-block">Obviously, they lived leisurely there in a way superior to the city.</p> <p class="ql-block">If possible, would you choose such an idyllic life like this?</p> Thank you
