Pi is the symbol used in mathematics to present a constant-the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter which is approximately 3.14159. Pi Day is an annual opportunity for many activities for our students to celebrate and remember it’s significant role in our everyday lives.</p> <p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">亲爱的宝贝们，准备好在数学的乐园中体验数学的魅力了吗？</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">Are you ready to experience the magic of mathematics?</p> <p class="ql-block">国际数学日活动：</p><p class="ql-block">Activities:</p><p class="ql-block">《图形大探索》</p><p class="ql-block">《Shopping Receipts & Tickets Activity》</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">Mathematics are everywhere in whatever you do.One fun and engaging activity students took part in was finding and bringing in tickets and receipts from home. Students were able to identify the unique barcodes and individual numbers on the receipts and think about the challenging ways numbers are used in our daily lives.</p> <p class="ql-block">《周围的数》</p><p class="ql-block">《Numbers All Around》</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">Mathematics are everywhere in our life.</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">Let’s find them.</p> <p class="ql-block">《我的身体尺》</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">This was a fun and interactive game for the whole class to play. Each student was given a piece of paper. They were able to study how Pi is used daily.</p> <p class="ql-block">和朋友们分享《我的身体尺》</p> <p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">Mathematics is also helpful in our outdoor games. Our students played several exciting and interactive games which helped encourage them to become involved in learning the importance of numbers.</p> <p class="ql-block">1. Hoop Toss</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">Each player has three rings.</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">Every cone represents a different number of points students can score. At the end the scores are added up. The student with the highest score is the winner.</p> <p class="ql-block">2. Bean Bag Number Toss.</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">Students throw the beanbag and jump to the corresponding number. They then pick another beanbag and throw into a hole to score points.</p> <p class="ql-block">3. Noughts and Crosses</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">The first player places his colour symbol on the grid. </p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">The second player then places their symbol down.</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">They continue to alternate moves until one player has drawn a row of three symbols or until there is no winner.</p> <p class="ql-block">4. Number Parachute Dive.</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">All players shake the rainbow parachute. </p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">The teacher asks the children to find the corresponding number under the parachute. </p> <p class="ql-block">5. Foam Noodle Number Hit.</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">Numbers are placed on to domes.
