Leo妈妈以儿歌的形式教孩子们唱了十二生肖的歌，帮助孩子们记忆十二生肖的顺序和特点。

Leo讲了年的传说，简洁、清晰、有趣，还有互动提问环节，小帅哥进步贼大了😊

4.3 说吉祥话：Jasper金宝

金宝妈妈以“一到十”的的吉祥话带大家学习了中国汉字的演变史，还设计了游戏的环节让孩子们学了一到十的甲骨文的样子，很有趣！

Mom: Hello ladies and gentlemen, today is the last day of the Spring Festival, as we all know, on this grandest Chinese festival, we Chinese celebrate it in various美/ˈveriəs/ kinds of manners to express our happiness and wishes for the new year.

To write and paste the spring festival couplets is one of these manners.

Here we are honored to invite a little calligrapher Mr. Jeff to show us what the couplets are and how to do with them.

Jeff: Hello everyone, happy Chinese New Year.

Mom: Hello Mr. Jeff, could you please show us what the couplets are?

Jeff: Of course, please have a look at these.

The history of couplets can date back to五代十国, it is a traditional way to celebrate the CNY. You can see there are four sheets of red paper. 3 are rectangle 1 is square. We write the Chinese characters in black or golden ink on the red paper, these two long sheets of red paper are called vertical scrolls美 /skrol/. They are a pair of poetry lines. The two lines should have an equal number of characters and similar meanings.

Here I have a question, do you know which one is upper scroll, and which one is the lower scroll?

Mom: The audience can raise the hand to answer it.

Jeff: Right, we judge it by the tone of the last character. The third or forth tone is the upper scroll, the first or second tone is the lower scroll.

And why do we use red paper?

Because we Chinese believe the red color can drive away the evils and bring good luck.

We shall paste / put up them on both sides of the front door.

Then we have a shorter scroll which is called horizontal scroll, it has four characters, we paste it above the door .

Mom: Thank you, Mr. Jeff, how about this square sheet? What’s this?

Jeff: This is a Fu Character, we paste it in the center of the door or some places like windows, furniture of your home.

Mom: Great, Mr. Jeff. Now would you please write us a set of spring festival couplets, and if any audience is interested, you are welcome to come to write together.

Jeff: Sure. I will write one or two characters, and you can write the rest of the other characters.

写对联用毛笔字体验，各家父母领孩子手把手照字画。

上联：玉兔辞岁迎春到，the last character Dao is forth tone, so this is upper scroll.

下联：金龙报喜送福来，the last character Lai is second tone, so this is the lower scroll.

横批：辞旧迎新

典故联想：王安石诗里说的“千门万户曈曈日，总把新桃换旧符”，说的就是辞旧迎新换桃符，也就是现在的春联。

春联这个环节设计得很好，Jeff的口语表述很好，声音洪亮、发音优美。最后还让所有人参与写春联，孩子们参与度特别高，感受到了传统文化之美！

4.5 包饺子：Vincy

Hello, everyone! I’m Vincy.

My favorite food is dumpling.

Dumpling is a traditional Chinese food with a long history.

Today I will show you how to make dumplings. There are five steps.

Step 1 – Make the Wrappers

We mix the flour with water to get the dough.

Then, we use a rolling pole to roll the dough into small, thin and round pieces.

Step 2 – Make the Filling

Usually, we use meat such as beef or mutton, and some vegetables such as cabbage or carrots for filling.

We must chop those things into small pieces. Then add some salt, oil and other condiments.

Step 3 – Fold the Dumplings

First put a spoonful of filling in the center of the wrapper.

Then stick the two opposite sides together.

Step 4 – Cook the Dumplings

Put the dumplings in boiling water.

Transfer the dumplings carefully from the pot to a plate.

Step 5-Enjoy the Dumplings

Vincy小姐姐边讲边通过视频给大家做示范如何包饺子，形式很新颖，很有趣。。。包饺子又是全员参与的一个环节，小朋友们包出了各式各样的饺子，成就感满满！

4.6 元宵节的来历、包汤圆：Charles

Charles，5岁的小王子，口语输出一流，每次介绍的内容都既有深度又有广度，而且每次都是全程认真参与活动，比其他三位大哥哥乖了太多，是所有小朋友的学习榜样呀！

4.7 做灯笼：Demi

1）Introduce lanterns

Hello, everyone! Today I‘d like to tell you something about Chinese lantern Customs.

Lantern is the traditional lighting tool of China. Lanterns have different shapes and sizes. It’s coverd by rice paper with a candle burning inside. People like to decorate lanterns and paint beautiful designs on them.

We light several lanterns during the Chinese new year and enjoy lantern shows with family during the lantern festival. Hanging lanterns means welcoming the New Year and bringing good luck to people, because the lanterns are a symbol of light and hope.

On the other hand, the ancient people believed that the fire in lanterns could drive away evil and bring people peace.

People often write riddles on the lanterns, and those who know the answer can get prizes.

I like lantern. How about you ?

2） Make a lantern

Now I will show you how to make a lantern.

We need 6 red envelopes, scissors，rubber bands and chopsticks.

First, we need six envelopes.

Then cut out 4 corners.

Put chopsticks through the holes like this.

Rubber bands to tie up chopsticks.

Three sticks to go across the corners.

This is a hexagon.

At last, we tie up the handle with the rubber bands like this.

Done.

Demi，现在颇有大姐姐风范了，这次小老师模样十足，介绍灯笼的历史和做法，详细又准确，全程口语流利输出，真的超级棒！

4.8 猜灯谜：George

这次George真的有让所有人惊叹到！

3岁多的小宝贝，一口超可爱的小奶音，却能流利地说出一个个谜语来，让哥哥姐姐叔叔阿姨们都惊叹连连！

4.9 糖画：Eva

Materials：

(1)Sugar Pen

(2)Pen Holder

(3)Silicon Non-stick Pad

(4)Sugar Painting Templates

(5)Sugar Painting Bamboo Sticks

(6)Sugar

Steps：

1）Put some sugar into the Sugar pen

2）Heat the sugar pen

3）Put the silicon Non-stick pad on the sugar painting templates

4）Draw along the lines

5）Put on the bamboo stick in the end

这次因为时间关系，Eva的糖画没来得及做，但Eva小朋友全程认真参与活动，口语输出很流畅。

而且这次活动是在Eva家里，Eva也都分享出了自己的玩具，真的是个人见人爱的小美女呢。。。

4.10 窗花：Jasper & Zoe

Jasper和Zoe这次兄妹俩以PPT和展板的方式配合着给大家介绍了剪纸，形式新颖！Jasper第一次讲PPT，比之前有进步，Zoe全程能配合贴展板也是成长了很多。。。

4.11 放烟花：所有人

• These are a few kid-friendly fireworks. If you light them, they'll give off different colored flames.
• When using fireworks, always have your mommy or daddy close by.
• Keep the fireworks away from your body, dry grass and trees, or they might catch fire.
• First we have to find a safe place away from the wind.

• You can draw shapes with your sparkler. You can draw a heart in the air like this .
• Do you want to try lighting two at the same time? One for each hand.

Take one and throw it on the ground.

4.12 放孔明灯：所有人

 孔明灯，又称祈天灯，是一种古老的中国手工艺。相传，是由三国时期的大谋略家诸葛亮所发明。当年，诸葛亮被围困于平阳，无法派兵出城求救。孔明算准风向，制成会飘浮的纸灯笼，系上求救的讯息，其后果然脱险，于是后世就称这种灯笼为“孔明灯”。

    后来，放飞孔明灯成为一种祈福活动。男女老少会亲手写下祝福的心愿，象征丰收成功，幸福年年。

    那么，英语中，“孔明灯”可以如何表达呢？

     在一个英文维基百科的页面里，将孔明灯翻译为Chinese lantern, 这个显然是会引起歧义的---如今，无论国内外，凡是有华人居住的地方，过年往往都会悬挂灯笼，那才是Chinese lantern。

    在实际使用中，孔明灯一般会翻译为Sky lanterns 或Kongming Lantern。这个说法可以在百度翻译和另一个维基百科页面得到佐证。

      在搜索中，我惊讶地发现中文维基百科和英文维基百科都写着，诸葛亮是热气球（hot air ballon）的发明人！

       仔细一想，也不难理解，虽然在汉语中孔明灯和热气球是两个完全不一样的词，但是结合形状和飞行的原理来看，有相似之处，只是前者是后者的一种原始形式。

总结：此次蜂之队的ft整体上是忙乱中干货满满！（周六晚上俩小时+周日早上俩小时，完成了十二个环节！🤣🤣🤣）

5岁+的几个小哥哥小姐姐们现在都能自己做presentation了，口语、舞台表现力等都有了很大的进步；三个小娃，也都开始参与到活动中来了，甚至可以挑起大梁（例如年龄最小的George），仨小宝贝真的忒棒啦！👍👍👍

蜂之队的妈妈们辛苦了，每个人都靠漫长的坚持，把孩子们一步一步托举着不断向上生长。当然，也要表扬蜂之队幕后的爸爸们，后勤保障工作做得很到位，而且给了妈妈和宝贝们无限大的支持和鼓励！

当然，特别需要感谢的是Eva一家三口，提供活动场所，安排吃喝玩乐，真是热情好客的一家人哈😊
