S2E21 Pen Pal 一、复述 二、剧集拓展 这一集是佩奇两季以来，第一次引入另一种外语——法语。

千万别听到法语，就不给孩子看这集内容咯。

越复杂的语言环境，对于孩子听辨的能力锻炼更大。

哪怕是英语启蒙，偶尔听一些别的外语，

也会有助于孩子去认知和提升听辨能力。


我们一直订的High Five杂志里面，

每次也都有西语的内容，孩子并不排斥，

反而会对这种新奇的发音产生兴趣。


所以这集内容真的蛮好，强烈建议大家给孩子看~

1.Pen pal 笔友

pal指的是“伙伴、朋友”



因为笔结缘的就是pen pal

因为旅游结缘的就是——驴友，tour pal 再看一下这集中对于pen pal的解释，简单明了

A pen pal is a boy or girl you can write letters to

笔友就是你可以给ta写信的男孩或女孩。

我们在第9集中讲过这个paraphrase结构：

我们在和孩子英语启蒙的过程中也是一样，会有一些新词，

一些孩子第一次认知到的词，

我们就来和他们做paraphrase，

听起来好像很难，其实不然，

小猪佩奇中几乎大部分剧集都有做paraphrase

What’s a time capsule?

A time capsule is something that will show people in the future how we lived.


What’s a scarecrow？
A scarecrow is a straw man that scares birds away.


What’s a mystery?
A mystery is something detectives are good at sorting out.





记住这个结构了吗？

A is something that+它的功能

张三is someone that + ta的特征or功能


我们来套一遍公式：

① Staple订书钉

Mommy, what is a staple?

(妈妈，什么是订书机)

A staple is something that can bring papers together. Like this.示范一下

(订书机就是可以把纸订一起的东西，像这样)



② 杀虫剂pesticide

Mommy, what is pesticide?

(妈妈，什么是杀虫剂？)

Pesticide is something that can kill the pests...bad bugs that bite us or eat the leaves.

(杀虫剂就是可以杀死害虫的东西，害虫就是会咬我们或吃叶子的虫)
2.剧中Delphine和Peppa开始互通书信了
邮递员把信送来的时候，说：

This letter is addressed to Miss Peppa Pig
这封信是寄给佩奇的。 这个be addressed to我们之前也已经讲过了


第28集，

This letter is addressed to Miss Zoe Zebra

这封信是寄给Zoe Zebra的（这封信的邮寄地址是Zoe那里）


延伸：

如果你要寄出包裹，可以告诉孩子，
这个包裹是寄给奶奶的
This package is addressed to your grandma
3.擦眼镜

剧中猪爸爸看不明白法语，擦了一下眼镜
Daddy pig cleans his glasses so he can see the letter more clearly


戴眼镜的你，是不是眼镜总是这样脏兮兮、糊糊的？ 如果下次发现眼镜脏了，可以这样描述给孩子：

Look at my glasses.

They are so dirty and smudged.

（看我的眼镜，脏兮兮雾蒙蒙的）



以及：

I have to clean my glasses so I can see clearly

（我得擦一下我的眼睛，才能看得清）




4.狗屁不通
猪爸爸看了法语信后看不明白，说了一句
It’s no good. It’s nonsense.
这里的nonsense意思就是：狗屁不通，这是啥呀？！



nonsense还可以表示“瞎扯、鬼话”

比如如果有人在胡扯，你可以心里默默地说一句：nonsense

三、提问

Questions:

1. Where is Peppa and her friends at the beginning of the story? Whom does Madam Gazelle introduce to children?

2. Is Delphine a girl or boy? Where does she live? What can children do with Delphine Donkey? What is pen pal?

3. What does Mr. zebra deliver to Peppa’s house? What is the letter addressed to? Where is the letter from?

5. Who helps Peppa read the letter? Why can’t Peppa read the letter by herself?

6. What does she say at the beginning of the letter? What does that mean?

7. After that, who helps Peppa read the letter? Can Daddy pig understand what it means? When he is thinking, what does he do? What does daddy pig think of those words?

8. According to the letter, can you tell me what Delphine likes to do?

9. After reading the letter, what does Peppa want to do? How could she talk French? He could talk to Delphine Donkey.

10. How could she talk to Delphine? What does she need to make a phone call? Where is the phone No.?

11. What does Peppa say in the phone call? What does Delphine say?

12. After the phone call, how does she say hello to George? How does George reply?

13. Why Peppa hasn’t got letter from Delphine Donkey in the next days? Because Delphine has come to see/visit Peppa.

14. How does Delphine introduce her family? What toy is Delphine’s brother holding?

15. Do you think Daddy pig is good at French? Why?

16. What happens in the end of the story?

开放性问题：

1. What is your favorite part of this story?

2. Would you like to have a pen pal? And where would you like your pen pal coming from? 问想和谁做笔友，娃说想和Uranus天王星做笔友并告诉它不要离太阳太近了，不然它的冰就会融化。这是啥脑回路，老母亲虽然觉得nonsense，但还是很喜欢娃的想象力，哈哈哈哈。
