筲箕灣避風塘 SKW Typhoon Shelter

筲箕灣避風塘（Shaukeiwan Typhoon Shelter）是香港筲箕灣東北部的一個避風圍，毗鄰鯉魚門海峽，與九龍東，油塘和三家村避風塘隔海對望。

筲箕灣本來便是海灣，由於海岸綫呈圓形，酷似一個大筲箕因而得名。在18世紀中時，當時的漁民發現筲箕灣避風一流，便開始將漁船停泊於此，這裏更漸漸成爲港島北岸最大的漁村。直到上世紀中，政府開始在筲箕灣進行了大規模拆寮屋區和填海的工程。漸漸地，住宅和現代化的設施取代了筲箕灣一帶原來的面貌，慢慢塑造了今天的筲箕灣。

現時，筲箕灣避風塘碼頭有航線往來東龍島，而亦有不少的遊艇及漁船停泊於避風塘內。

Shaukeiwan Typhoon Shelter is a shelter in the northeast of Shau Kei Wan, Hong Kong Island, adjacent to the carp Strait and the Sanjia Village Typhoon Shelter in East Yau Tong, Kowloon.

Shau Kei Bay is originally a bay. Because the coastal line is round, it looks like a big Shauki, hence the name. In the mid-18th century, fishermen found that Shau Kei Bay was first-class, so they began to moor fishing boats here, which gradually became the largest fishing village on the north coast of Hong Kong Island. Until the middle of the last century, the government began to carry out large-scale demolition of squatter areas and reclamation in Shau Kei Wan. Gradually, residential and modern facilities replaced the original appearance of Shau Kei Wan, slowly shaping today's Shau Kei Wan.

At present, the Typhoon Shelter Wharf in Shau Kei Wan has routes to and from Donglong Island, and many yachts and fishing boats are moored in the Typhoon Shelter.

每年佛誕節，無論是佛教還是道教和各種華人廟宇，與民間傳統武術社團，都會在這一天舉行慶祝活動。筲箕灣主要是譚公，天后和城隍廟，和本地漁民組織的集會遊行。

偶爾，大年的端午節，避風塘也會舉辦龍舟賽。

Every year, Buddha's birthday, whether in Buddhism or Taoism or various Chinese temples, as well as folk traditional martial arts clubs, will be celebrated on this day. Shaujiwan is mainly a rally parade organized by Tan Gong, Tianhou and Chenghuang Temple, and local fishermen.

Occasionally, Dragon Boat Races will be held in the Typhoon Shelter during the Dragon Boat Festival of the Chinese important Year.

筲箕灣是香港比較早開發的地區之一。至少在明萬曆年間（距今約400年），已經有漁民在此居住。現有人口不到6萬人。

可旅遊的景點有香港海防博物館（本人另有美篇記錄），百多年的天后廟，城隍廟和譚公廟，鯉魚門渡假村和行山徑，海濱走廊，球場和露天劇場影院等。也有傳統的露天街市（菜場），海魚批發市場。假日，可買到平價的海鮮。

Shau Kei Wan is one of the earliest developed areas in Hong Kong. At least in the Ming Wanli period (about 400 years ago), fishermen have lived here. The current population is less than 60,000.

Attractions that can be visited include the Hong Kong Coastal Defense Museum (I also have another beautiful record), the Tin Hau Temple, the Chenghuang Temple and Tan Gong Temple for more than a hundred years, the Liyumen Resort and Mountain Trail, the seaside corridor, the stadium and the amphitheatre cinema, etc. there are also traditional open-air markets ( vegetable markets) and sea fish wholesale markets. on holidays, you can buy affordable seafood.

筲箕灣有條食街，叫東大街，不到五百米，食肆林立，中日韓泰印餐廳，西餐廳都有，物美價廉。

There is a striped food street in Shau Kei Wan, called Main East Street, which is less than 500 meters away. There are many restaurants, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Indian restaurants, and Western restaurants, which are cheap and good tast.

筲箕灣，真是個東區有民俗文化的地方。生活方便，交通方便，地鐵，巴士和電車均可到達。我曾住過30多年。
