祖国母亲，生日快乐 | China's National Day

On October 1, it is an anniversary and a great day in memory of the formally founding of the People’s Republic of China. On October 1 in 1949, standing in the Tian’an men rostrum, Chairman Mao made a solemn declaration  to the whole world : “My dear citizens, The Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China  is founded today!”

每年的10月1日是纪念中华人民共和国正式成立的伟大日子。在1949年的今天，毛主席在北京天安门城楼上向全世界庄严的宣告：“同胞们，中华人民共和国中央人民政府在今天成立了!”

On that day, gathering at the Tian’anmen Square, 300,000 soldiers and citizens had witnessed the great moment of the founding ceremony. Nowadays, at the anniversary, there is a special flag raising ceremony for National Day on Tian’anmen Square. And the square is decorated festively with flags. When the national flag reaches the top, the peace doves are flying to the sky.

这一天，北京30万军民聚集在天安门广场上见证了开国大典这一伟大时刻。而现在在国庆当天，在天安门广场会有一个专门的国庆升旗仪式。而且广场周围都悬挂国旗，并且在国旗升至顶端时，伴有放飞的和平鸽。

Actually, being on of the onlookers, it is the long-cherished wish for the public. Many of our grandfathers and grandmothers hope to take a visit to Beijing and witness a national flag ceremony in Tian’anmen Square. Friendly reminder: you’d better get there as early as possible! Or, you just lose yourself in the huge crowds of people.

其实，这是一个大家的夙愿。有多少爷爷奶奶辈的心愿就是能够去一次北京站在天安门广场下见证一次升国旗。但是，如果您想见证神圣时刻，请早！不然，你就会迷失在人山人海里。

At the meanwhile, the National Day makes people happy and exciting as  they could enjoy a seven-day holiday. And National Day is incorporated as one of in statutory holiday. It is also called as Golden Week which also makes it the second largest holiday period in China.

同时，国庆也是众人开心躁动的日子。因为放假了，放假了！法定国庆节有七天长假，也被称为“黄金周”，也是中国排名第二长假！

Being one of the Golden Week, this approach was first introduced in 2000 to help boost the development of domestic tourism and GDP growth. Meanwhile, we can reunite the family members and visit our relatives and friends for better communication. Or, it will be a burden for us when it comes to the Spring Festival!

十一黄金周，最早于2000年开始，意在促进旅游经济发展与GDP增长。同时，大家也可以家庭团聚，走亲访友，增加感情交流！不然都积累到春节，让人吃不消！

But if possible, please avoid traveling during the “Golden Week”. One can make it just before or after the “crowding period”. Or, you just see a sea of faces instead of the scenic spots. And you will spend a lot of time queuing and afford more money with poorer service. Please make a reasonable holiday schedule.

但是可能的话，大家尽量不要在“黄金周”出游。最好在“拥挤周”前或后出游。要不，你旅游欣赏美景就变成看人山人海。然后就是花很多时间排队，还有花更多的钱享受更差的服务。请合理安排出行。
