<p class="ql-block">Currently, the 201,600 acres of Chrysanthemum morifolium (also known as "Wanshouju") in Tianshui City have entered their peak flowering period. As one gazes across the landscape, vast stretches of these chrysanthemums have painted the fields in an orange carpet. This captivating sight has attracted numerous tourists who are taking photos and checking in, while people traverse the sea of flowers, busy picking the first harvest of Chrysanthemum morifolium. In the fields, a bustling scene of bountiful harvest is underway.</p><p class="ql-block">Stepping into the planting base of the Rui Fuxiang Agricultural Professional Cooperative in Dazhuang Town, Gangu County, covering a thousand acres, the golden chrysanthemums bloom across the mountainous fields, presenting an exquisite view. Pickers move about, actively harvesting the flowers. The head of the cooperative mentioned that this year's Chrysanthemum morifolium has grown well, yielding a good output. It is estimated that around 3 tons of fresh flowers can be produced per acre, resulting in an income of approximately 2,500 yuan.</p><p class="ql-block">This year, in the Xixiaohe River Basin of Dazhuang Town, Gangu County, Chrysanthemum morifolium has been planted on 2,100 acres. By relying on leading enterprises and cooperatives, the cultivation of distinctive industries such as Chrysanthemum morifolium and Golden Silk Chrysanthemum continues to expand and strengthen. These industries provide a continuous source of endogenous power for the development of agricultural modernization and rural revitalization.</p><p class="ql-block">Revitalization of rural areas hinges on industrial development. This year, in Shifo Town of Maiji District, responding to local conditions, the community guided residents to plant over 50 acres of "Chrysanthemum morifolium" in addition to the existing 300 acres of "July Chrysanthemum."</p><p class="ql-block">A total of 21,900 acres of Chrysanthemum morifolium were planted in Tianshui City. The small chrysanthemum flowers have not only enhanced the picturesque scenery of rural areas but also become the "money flowers" for local residents to increase their income and achieve prosperity.</p><p class="ql-block">当下，天水市2016万亩万寿菊进入盛花期，放眼望去，大片的万寿菊为田野铺上了橙色地毯，吸引了不少游客打卡拍照，群众穿梭花海间，忙着采摘首茬万寿菊，田间地头一派繁忙的丰收景象。</p><p class="ql-block">走进甘谷县大庄镇瑞扶祥种养农民专业合作社的千亩万寿菊种植基地，金黄的菊花开满山间田野，美不胜收，采摘人员正穿梭其中忙着采摘。合作社负责人说，今年万寿菊长势良好，产量不错，预计亩产湿花3吨，收入2500元左右。</p><p class="ql-block">今年，甘谷县在大庄镇西小河流域种植万寿菊2100亩，依托龙头企业、合作社持续做大做强万寿菊、金丝皇菊等特色产业，为农业现代化发展、乡村振兴提供源源不断的内生动力。</p><p class="ql-block">乡村要振兴，产业是关键。今年，麦积区石佛镇因地制宜引导群众在原有300亩“七月菊”的基础上，又在窝驮、张湾等村种植“万寿菊”50多亩。</p><p class="ql-block">今年，天水市共种植万寿菊2.19万亩，小菊花不仅成为乡村的靓丽风景，也成为了群众增收致富的“金钱花”。</p><p class="ql-block">中文节选自2023年8月21日《爱天水》公众号。</p>
