子曰：“孰谓微生高直？或乞醯焉，乞诸其邻而与之。”

子曰：“孰謂微生高直？或乞醯焉，乞諸其鄰而與之。”

英译：

Confucius remarked of a character of the time:“Who says that the man is an honest man?When somebody begged him for some household necessary,he went and begged of his neighbours for it and gave it as his own.”

藕益：

卓吾云：维直道也，非讥议微生高也。
