季文子三思而后行。子闻之，曰：“再，斯可矣。”

繁体：

季文子三思而後行。子聞之，曰：“再，斯可矣。”

英译：

It was remarked of a public character of the time that he always reflected thrice over every time before he acted.When Confucius heard of the remark,he observed:“Think twice-that is sufficient.”

藕益：

卓吾云:“三”,疑也。“再”,决也。要知“三”不是三遭,
“再”不是两次。
