听力大进步的秘密——记笔记The Secret to Greatly Improving Listening Skills - Taking Notes

Introduction:

我们平时听的新闻材料和托福材料本身篇幅长，听力时长也较长，对此，我们感到很困惑，甚至还会对听力感到恐惧，自信心不足。

The news and TOEFL materials that we usually listen to are lengthy in themselves and also have a long listening time. This often causes confusion and even fear and lack of confidence in our listening process.

如何解决这一问题，其实在听力课上毛老师已经给出了答案—记笔记！

The solution to this problem was actually provided by Professor Mao in our listening class - taking notes! 

我在听力课上最大的收获就是已经学会并且习惯于记笔记。

My biggest takeaway from the listening class was that I have learned and developed a habit of taking notes.

Topic1:

记笔记可以帮助我们在听力过程中提升专注度

Taking notes can help us concentrate on the material, during the listening process. 

作为二语习得者，在听较长的外语听力材料时走神是很正常的一种现象，所以有必要借助“外力”来克服这样的问题。

As second language learners, it's normal to become distracted when listening to lengthy foreign language materials so it's necessary to rely on external aids to overcome such issues.

在毛老师强调了记笔记对于听力的重要性后，我开始尝试在练习听力的过程中认真记笔记，很快就有了成效!

After Professor Mao emphasized the importance of taking notes in improving listening skills, I started to diligently take notes during listening practice and soon saw results!

现在，一篇五分钟的新闻我可以理解大致的内容以及可以对照笔记翻译出来具体的细节。

Now, I can understand the general content of a 5-minute news article and translate specific details by comparing with my notes. 

这些都是通过大量的笔记练习得到的进步与收获。

These are the progress and gains I have achieved through extensive note-taking practice.

Topic2:

记笔记帮助我们理解听力内容。

Taking notes helps us understand the listening content.

在听较长的听力材料时，我们很难记住所有的内容。

When listening to longer materials, it's difficult to remember all the content.

所以，在课上毛老师强调我们需要借助笔记来呈现听力中的内容。

Therefore, Professor Mao emphasized that we need to rely on note-taking to present the content of the listening materials.

我在训练听力的时候，有意识地记笔记。

I consciously take notes when training my listening skills.

现在我能听懂、理解的内容变多了，且听力的正确率也提升了，所以自然有了自信心。

Now I am able to understand and comprehend more content, and my listening accuracy has also improved, so I have naturally gained more confidence.

以托福听力为例，我在练习的过程中通过认真记笔记的方式，对整个篇章有了更加清晰的理解。

Taking TOEFL listening practice as an example, I have gained a clearer understanding of the entire passage by taking careful notes during the practice.

且在分析笔记的过程中大致归纳出几种常见的结构。

And during the process of analyzing my notes, I roughly summarized several common structures.

对话主要是问题解决型：学生有不理解的知识点，教授一一解答，最后学生理解了这个知识点或是学生在生活中遇到了问题，工作人员提供解决方案，最后学生解决了问题。

The conversation is primarily focused on problem-solving: students have knowledge points that they do not understand, and the professor answers them one by one. In the end, the student understands the knowledge point. Alternatively, if a student encounters a problem in their life, the staff provides a solution, and finally, the student solves the problem.

讲座也有几种常出现的结构：第一种是在上课过程中，教授讲解知识点，学生一个接一个地提问，教授回答学生的问题；

第二种是全程教授讲解知识，当然其中有一些重要的点，比如教授对知识点的强调很重要，举例证明的知识点很重要，不同概念之间的相似点、不同点很重要……

The conversation is primarily problem-solving oriented: the students have knowledge points they don't understand, and the professor answers them one by one. In the end, the students understand these knowledge points. Alternatively, if the students encounter problems in their daily lives or work, the staff provides solutions, and ultimately the students solve the problems.

显然，在记笔记、分析笔记之后我的听力能力大大提升！

Obviously, my listening skills have greatly improved after taking notes and analyzing them!
