class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"> 木棉花是南方地区的特产，多分布两广地区，又名红棉、英雄花，花开娇艳，躯干粗壮挺拔，如英雄般顶天立地，花色深红，盛开时，满树枝干缀满艳而硕大的花朵，如火如荼，耀眼醒目，极为壮丽。花凋谢时树下落英纷陈，掉落后久不褪色，不萎靡，素有“英雄树”之美名。</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"> 木棉，木棉科木棉属落叶大乔木，植株可高达30米；树皮为灰白或灰褐色，幼树的树干通常有圆锥状的粗刺，分枝平展；复叶为掌状；花单生枝顶叶腋，通常红色，也有橙红色，花瓣肉质； 基本上是先花后叶，花叶不同存；花期3至4月。</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block"> 木棉花盛开时如同尽情燃烧、欢快跳跃的火苗，历来被人们视为英雄的象征。近代以来的很多历史性重大革命事件都发生在广州，使广州有英雄城市之誉，或基于这个原因，加上广州人视木棉为大美之花，美中之美，所以木棉花似乎也自然而然地成为广州的市花。</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <h1
