北京中轴线（天安门） 　　北京中轴线 开启中华“門”探寻“中”轴线上的城市文化文／尚柔北京中轴线，是指北京自元大都、明清北京城以来所形成特殊的城市建设格局，北京市诸多其他的重点建筑物亦位于此条中轴线上。此条中轴线同时又是北京城市东西对称布局建筑物的对称轴。明清北京城的中轴线南起永定门，北至钟鼓楼直线距离长约7.8公里。中国建筑大师梁思成先生是这样赞美这条中轴线的“一根长达八公里，全世界最长，也最伟大的南北中轴线穿过全城。北京独有的壮美秩序就由这条中轴的建立而产生；前后起伏、左右对称的体形或空间的分配都是以这中轴线为依据的；气魄之雄伟就在这个南北引伸、一贯到底的规模”。这是世界城市建设历史上最智慧的城市设计范例之一，2011年，北京市提出中轴线申遗；2012年，北京中轴线被列入《中国世界文化遗产预备名单》。 文字•中华門材质／布上丙烯•铜 Beijing Central AxisOpen the "Door" of China and Explore the Urban Culture on the "Central" AxisWen/Shang RouThe central axis of Beijing refers to the special urban construction pattern formed in Beijing since Dadu City in the Yuan Dynasty and Beijing City in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
