The 9/11 Memorial is located at the site of the former World Trade Center complex and occupies approximately half of the 16-acre site.

In the summer of 2014, on the way back from visiting the Brooklyn Bridge, my friend suggested getting off the subway to visit the 9/11 Memorial, since we were exhausted at the moment, I responded "no" but that "no " has always made me regretful. After all, seeing is believing.

Here I am at Ground Zero now. Without coming here physically, I can never imagine what it is really like. The Memorial features two enormous waterfalls and reflecting pools, each about an acre in size, set within the footprints of the original Twin Towers.

The Memorial plaza is one of the most eco-friendly plazas ever constructed. More than 400 trees surround the reflecting pools. Its design conveys a spirit of hope and renewal, and creates a contemplative space separate from the usual sights and sounds of a bustling metropolis.

Among all the hustling, a red red rose caught my attention. I shot it from different angles and its shining bright redness under the sun deeply impressed me . With all the chaos around, she stood there, accompanying the dead in silence, suggesting a kind of holy unconquering spirit. From now on any sight of a red rose will probably bring back my memory of the red rose shining at Ground Zero.

The new World Trade Centre stands beside Ground Zero . I love its design, brief , elegant and peaceful, symbolizing a spirit of freedom soaring into the sky!

At the foot of the new tower there is a sign: This is who we are, optimistic, courageous, undaunted!

Another sign: we never forget what has gone before . Yet our eyes has always been on the possibilities ahead🌎

It was very hot, but tourists from around the world thronged here, snapping shots, queuing in long line to visit the memorial museum.

Queuing in long lines, there are families , friends from all over the world to share their life moments together , paying homage to the victims of the wicked disaster plotted by wicked people. They are kind caring and loving people. They are waiting for a time when there will appear a great hero like superman who could wipe out all wickedness by his mighty will and power! Alas! No sight of the great person yet!

Towers around the World Trade Centre.

Language failed me facing these massive overwhelming towers. Architects are geniuses and together with construction workers, they work out architectural miracles, leaving great assets to human civilization.

Getting out of subway I was attracted by a newly opened snowwhite shopping mall Oculus Centre. I was awed by its white massiveness and uniquely designed transparent architecture. New York is a city that will always challenge your visions with breath-taking , edge-cutting, ground-breaking architectural miracles where you may feel overwhelmed but never bored!

Amazingly, in contrast to the massive architectures, there lies the oldest chapel in NY within an arm's reach of the new World Trade Centre--"St.Paul's Chapel"

Leaving the chaos behind, you suddenly step into a piece of purified quiet land where you can sit on the bench meditating on the history of the nation and the possible future forward as it was in this chapel that the first president Washington prayed after his inauguration. Only three hundred years passed, but look around what changes the world has gone through.

It was a fruitful day! New York always rock you like nowhere else!
