<p class="ql-block">Oxford is the place where Pre-Raphaelite artists were active. </p> <p class="ql-block">The Ashmolean Museum is one of the earliest museums in the world. It has a nice collection of Pre-Raphaelite work. </p> <p class="ql-block">Although the access to the Ashmolean Museum is free, the special exhibition of Pre-Raphaelite drawings and water colour paintings in September 2022 is not free. The price of the ticket is quite expensive, but the exhibition still extracted a lot of people who loves Pre-Raphaelite art. </p> <p class="ql-block">Much of the museum's collection comes from a couple shown in this picture and the next. As you can see in the picture that they're signed by the symbol represents Pre_Raphaelite Brotherhood. The story says these portraits were rejected by the couple who commissioned the paintings because they were unhappy with the portraits that didn't make them look better. </p> <p class="ql-block">Most of the items shown in the exhibition are drawings, but here I only show photos of the paintings. </p> <p class="ql-block">The exhibition covers all important Pre-Raphaelite artists and their work in all periods. However, he is also a good artist in the way he painted and drawn plants and landscape as his scientific work.
