UFO:Unidentified[ˌʌnaɪˈdentɪfaɪd] Flying Object

Unidentified: you didn't know where it came from and you didn't know what is was.

Today we are going to make a UFO.UFOs are cool and a UFO is an unidentified flying object means something flying in the sky, we don’t know what it is, right?
飞碟很酷 飞碟是一种不明飞行物 意思就是某种在天空中飞的东西 我们不知道它是什么 对吗?

For this activity you’ll need

A brush 一个刷子
Some straws 一些吸管
Some paint 一些颜料
Two paper bowls 两个纸碗
Glue 胶水
Small colorful stones. 一些彩色石头
A picture of Ike. 一张Ike的图片
Aluminum /əˈluːmɪnəm/ foil/fɔɪl/ muffin tin.铝箔蛋糕托
Clear plastic cup. 透明塑料杯

So the first step is you need two bowls.So we have these paper bowls here and what we want to do is color them so that they’ll look more cool.

So we’ll put these aside and you can see I have already colored these two blue.

So the, when the UFO is flying in the blue sky maybe we can’t see it.

So these UFO drivers are very smart.

OK. Once you have these painted and you wait for it to dry.So you don’t get blue on your fingers.

You can poke three holes in the bottom.You can use a knife or a scissors or something like this.

So you see I’ve already poked three holes in there.

And here’s my paintbrush and this is my paint that I use for my bowls.

And now we’re gonna make the legs of the UFO.So we can use these green straws and we’re just gonna cut these green straws in half.And then you’ll see what I’ll do with them.

So we take our scissors and we’re just gonna cut this guy in half just like this.And we’re gonna do this with three different straws.

Now we want to use the straw,and you can see one end of the straw is a bit pointy.

So we want the three pointy ends. There we go.And these three we don’t need.

OK. So you’re gonna take your straw, make sure the pointy end is out.And stick the other end into the holes that I already made.

So we stick one in this hole like that.And then, one in that hole, there.OK. So now we have our three legs.

And this is the part of the bottom of our UFO.So the UFO can stand up.

So what I’m going to do, to make sure our UFO can stand up very well.I’m going to use some of this blue Play-Doh.

So we’ll just take some blue Play-Doh here.So we’ll stick some Play-Doh on the bottom of this guy.

And some Play-Doh on that guy there.And then a little more.OK now, I think our UFO will stay there.

OK. So the UFO has come down and it has landed on the earth.

Then we have this other blue bowl.And we’re gonna glue this to the top.So we can take your glue.

And we just put some glue on the outer edge of your bowl.And close that.And then we’re just gonna sit that one right on top.There we go.

So now our ship is, well, it looks pretty good.But we can make it look better, right?

Alright. So we have these little jewels.And these little jewels, we can just glue them around the outside.

So I’m just going to first make some little dots of glue.So we put a dot there.And you can put them anywhere you want, OK.Close my glue.

So first we’ll just stick this red one on there.And this yellow one.

Now we’ve done this, but who is going to fly this UFO

We have a little Ike guy here.And we’re gonna put him into the UFO and he can fly it.

Alright, so, we have a little tin plate here.And we can stick on top, in fact, I’m gonna glue it on there.

So we’ll just put a little bit of glue around this guy here.And then we’ll stick him right on like this.And now, Ike, now we’re gonna make sure Ike can stand up.

There,Ike is ready to fly.

But the next part is this one cause Ike can’t sit there.You need a little room, right?

So we can put this on.Now I’m gonna see where this is going to touch. Right there, okay.Just take your glue again, and put it around the bottom.All around here on your tin.

And then we’ll put that right over top.And we won’t be cold.And then you can just wait for that glue to dry.But I think I can make this even more beautiful.
We have some glitter, we can put a little bit of glitter on your UFO.So I can use my brush from before.Maybe I’ll just brush some glue onto some parts of the spaceship.We can stick to your UFO.

In fact, I’ll just squirt right on there and then I’ll spread it around.Now I’ll just sort of spread it a little bit with my brush.

Why do people see UFOs?

A UFO is an Unidentified /ˌʌnaɪˈdentɪfaɪd/ Flying Object.

It is something flying in the sky and we don’t know what it is.

Most people are totally unfamiliar with things that might fly other than airplanes.

So when we see somethings flying in the sky and it doesn’t look like an airplane,

we will think it is a UFO from outer space!
