Today we’re gonna make something super cool,This is called our Star Master（星空仪）
and this will help to show you different constellations /ˌkɑnstəˈleʃən/ in the sky
它能给我们展示天空中的不同星座

Constellations are made of many stars and we we’ll make this
星座是由很多星星组成的, 我们将制作它

For this activity you’ll need
A screw driver 一个螺丝刀
Some small screw 一丝小螺丝
A plastic base 一个塑料底座
Three batteries 三节电池
A circular clear plastic top 一个透明的圆形塑料顶
A battery powered base 一个电池供电的底座
A clear plastic center piece 一个透明的塑料中心零件

So the first thing we can do，we take this long plastic sheet and you’re just gonna roll it up

And there is two little bits in the other end， you can take these out，And then these two things will go right into the holes just like that, okay

And then this one is gonna go right into this.OK. You just slide it right in there, alright

And then, you’re gonna take you bottom part and you’re gonna stick this through from the bottom like that，and you’re gonna stick this through from the bottom like that. OK. This is important

Now once we have that done we want to attach this to our base

So this is our base.And today we’re gonna use this little screw driver, OK

This is maybe a new skill for you.I hope you can learn it.It’s very cool if you can cause then you can do many things.
so now we have this and we want to attach it to our base
我们要将它固定在底座上

So you’ll see you have one hole here and a little slot there. And another hole here.

So you just look at your base and you’ll see you have two buttons you can push.That’s for the holes, alright

So we’re just gonna slide it over top And you can push in the button

And then, you should be able to get it just like this

So now that’s on there and you see your buttons are on the side

And now we need to put something on the top

Alright, we’re gonna do the top part first. You just take this circle and this circle And you’re gonna put this one right in there.OK. It should just sit in there, just like that

And then this one we just put right on top. OK. It should just click on.There we go,So now that’s on there and it won’t fall off.

Now the bottom here, when you turn it over. you’re gonna see three little holes And these are for our, this is very small. I don’t know if you can see that

This is a little screw, We have to put the little screws into the holes. So, you just take your screw and you set it right in there. And then we use our screw driver, And very carefully, we just screw in and you’re gonna turn it to the right

And now we need our batteries.Batteries are very important. This gives us our power.

OK. So you go to the bottom.And you’re just gonna open that up like this

And remember the flat part of your battery goes to the spring.So the first one is in like this, The second one is that way,And the last one, like that.Then you can put the cover right back on like this

And now, it’s made.Now you can find the place where is dark and has no light.What about your bedroom？It’s very dark and there is no light

You can turn this on and the light will go onto your walls and on your ceiling and you can see many constellations

So we push that one, we get this nice white there.And then this one will light up some blue and green and red lights inside.And you can also look on here，And you can see many constellations，This is the stars together.

So on the top here, we have a very famous one,but you won’t be able to see it, this is called the Big Dipper

Look’s like a big spoon.Has seven stars, It’s right on top and it’s right in the middle,So see if you can find the Big Dipper on the top of your Star Master

Why are stars grouped in constellations?
为什么星星会按星座划分
The constellations are groups of stars that are connected to form a certain pattern or symbol.

People are good at remembering symbols and patterns，so we created the constellations to help us remember where the stars are in the night sky
人们很擅长记忆标志和图形。所以我们创造了星座，帮助我们记忆夜空中星星的位置
