For this experiment you’ll need A4 paper，Black design paper，A stick，A pen，Plastic design creating pieces and A circular plastic piece

做这个实验 你需要A4纸，黑色设计纸，一个木棒，一杆笔，塑料设计创意零件，一个圆形塑料零件

Today we’re gonna do something very fun and it’s gonna look super cool.
And this has to do with math and geometry[dʒiˈɒmətri].

而且这个与数学和几何有关

So you can see here we have all these very interesting plastic pieces.
那么你们可以看到我们有这些非常有趣的塑料片

Right? We’ve got the circles and this circle has a hollow part in the middle.And this one is very long.
对吗 我们有很多圆形 这个圆形在中间是空心的。这个是非常长的

What are we gonna do with these?Well, I will show you.
We’re gonna make some very interesting designs and these are geometric designs.
我们要做一些非常有意思的设计 这些是几何设计

Because today we’re talking about math and geometry.
因为今天我能要聊一聊关于数学和几何的东西

So what we can do first is, I really want to use this black paper because it looks super cool.And you’ll see later.
那么我们首先要做的是 我非常想用这个黑色的纸 因为它看起来超级酷，一会儿你们就会看到了

So what you can do is,you can use this wooden piece or at home you can also use a toothpick is okay.
那么你们能做的是，你可以用这个木棍或者你们在家也可以用一根牙签

And we’re just gonna put this big orange one on here like this and inside.You can maybe hear that.They have these teeth.And all of these things have these teeth on the outside here.
我们只要将这个大的橙色的像这样放在这儿 然后在里面。你可以听到那个声音，它们有这些锯齿，所有这些东西在外圈都有锯齿

So what happen is we can stick this one in the middle there and the teeth will go together.

And then you can see it goes around and around.And inside there are some circles, are some holes，and you can stick your toothpick or your wooden stick through the holes,

and then you’re just gonna move it around and around and see what shape you make.

So I think I’ll start with a, this middle sized one first.

So you stick it in there, hold this one and then you can choose any hole you want.

So I will start there and then you just move it around the inside just like this.

And then you’ll see an interesting shape start to appear on the paper.

Now when we take this away.it almost looks like a cool flower I think.

And then if you want you can just move this one over.And we can choose a different hole.and this should make a very cool shape that’s also a little different.

So I’ll choose this hole this time.Then you just move around like this.And wow, we can see it come in there and then come around, and then one more here.

This is also making something that looks like a very cool flower hey

Alright, then you move it and blow it.And there, so now we have another cool flower here.So every time you choose a different hole you will get a different shape.

So let’s try this little orange guy here.OK, and see what happens.So we’ll choose a hole then we just move around the outside like this.And you just keep going.And then I’m gonna, just stay on the same one but I’m gonna choose a different hole.We go around like that.And then we have this shape.

So you can see we used these circle ones to make these cool geometric shapes.

Now we’re gonna try this long guy right here.And maybe we’ll use the little one.So you see this also has teeth on the outside.So we just put that there.And then you’re just gonna move it along.And go around the outside like that.And then come over here.And keep going.

And then we can just choose a different hole.And keep going around.And then come back over this side.OK. So now you should have made this interesting long one.

We’ve got this one which has lots of triangles.This one looks like a, I don’t even know, it’s very cool though and then that one looks like a really beautiful flower. so we’ve made our beautiful colored ones on this black paper.

Take your orange guy there. And put our little one in here.And use our pen.And then you just choose one hole like that and then start going around.And you can just keep going around until you think you have.OK so that’s that one.

用你的橙色的家伙 将小的放进去，然后用我们的笔，然后你只要像这样选择一个小孔 然后开始转起来，然后你可以继续转动 直到你觉得你已经，好的 那就画好了

It’s very nice. Looks like a nice bracelet for your wrist.

Why is geometry important

It is important for many reasons. It is used in almost all basis of the including Shopping, driving, work and especially school.
从很多原因来说它都很重要, 几何几何被用在生活中的所有基础的地方 包括购物 驾驶 工作 特别是学校

It is important to understand geometric patterns.So we can understand the size and shape of things in our world.
理解几何图形很重要。这样我们就可以理解世界中物体的尺寸和形状
