visual learners

视觉型学习者

They learn best when they can see how something is done. They likeinformation to be organized through visuals, e.g. pictures, diagrams, charts. Whenthey need to remember something they will often make a mental picture of it. In aclassroom setting they respond well to visual aids, videos, PowerPoint presentations,etc. and like to have handouts（讲义）. The written word too is important-they like toread, both for learning and pleasure. They are good note-takers and may alsoillustrate（说明） their notes with drawing and diagrams. Making lists is anothercharacteristic of the learner.

Auditory learners

听觉型学习者

They best through listening. When they have to remember something they willthink about where and how they heard it. They are good at absorbing（吸收）information in lectures and talks and are able to remember it fairly easily. Talkingthing through and listening to the views of others helps them to learn andunderstand. In a classroom setting they respond well to tapes and videos and aregood at role plays and storytelling. They like engaging in（参与） discussions andworking in groups.

Kinaesthetic learners

They learn best through movement. They need to be physically involved in the

learning process. They have a tendency（倾向）to fidget（坐立不安）and becomedistracted（思想不集中的） in lectures and talks. In a classroom setting theyunderstand best when things are demonstrated, and teachers use actions andgestures. They like to learn in a practical way and are good at drama activities,gamesand project work. They get bored quickly if they are not actively involved. Theyremember numbers and words through making patterns and shapes. They thinkthrough things and reach understanding while they are doing physical exercise.

Mixed learners

混合型学习者

They are lucky as they can adapt to any learning situation; learners who have adistinct learning style can benefit（受益）from developing learning strategies relatedto other learning styles.
