Two magical memories from my childhood

I lived in Wuhan when I was over two years old. Once, my parents and I took a cruise along the Yangtze River to Shanghai, and then took the train to Hangzhou. The trip left some magical impressions - (1) elevator ride, (2) boat ride, etc -.

(1) The elevator entrance in memory is not a door but a fence. Standing at the elevator entrance, you can clearly see the elevator moving up and down through the fence. Stepping into the elevator car, my hands were pulled tightly by my mother; the "big box" began to move upwards. It's like I've entered a magical world and I don't know where it's going to take me.

(2) On the shore of West Lake Park in Hangzhou, as soon as I stepped on the swaying boat, the lake water under my feet made my heart beat faster - will I fall into the water? Fortunately, my mother held my hand tightly, otherwise I would not have dared to take that step. The human-powered boat began to move slowly on the water. I dipped my hand into the lake and fiddled with it, it was so much fun.

My dad was always on the sidelines taking pictures of me and my mom, capturing those beautiful scenes on film. He was a professional photographer at the time.

These are wonderful things from my childhood and I will never forget them. Of course, I have to remember my parents, who gave me everything but passed away. At this moment, my eyes started to get wet. I don't know if it's because of happy and magical memories, or because of sadness and nostalgia.
