<p class="ql-block">儿子Kevin4月初去英国牛津参加会议，下面是他发给我们的短信。</p> <p class="ql-block">Sorry for the late write-up. Have been busy trying to catch up on everything. The UK trip was super fun!</p><p class="ql-block">We flew out Sat 4/2 and arrived Sunday 4/3. Took a train to Oxford and we stayed in an airbnb near Oxford. Took the bus everywhere. On Sunday, we went to the National History Museum and Pitt River Museum and walked around Oxford. </p> <p class="ql-block">International Conference on Ketamine and Related Compounds was Monday-Wednesday all day, but I ended up going to about a half day’s worth each day. There were about 200 people so it was a small conference. I did my presentation on Tuesday and it went pretty well, got lots of good feedback. </p> <p class="ql-block">When I wasn’t at the conference Monday-Wednesday, we did lots of sightseeing, including the Botanical Gardens, the Bodlean Library, Radcliffe’s Camera, Sheldonian Theater, Bridge of Sighs, Magdalen College, Christ Church.</p> <p class="ql-block">Wednesday afternoon we took the train to London and stayed in an airbnb about 45 minutes outside of London. Took the subway everyday. On Thursday morning, we went to see the London Bridge and went inside and climbed it as well. </p> <p class="ql-block">We then went to Sky Gardens which is a sightseeing place about 35 stories up with a good view of London and had lunch there. </p> <p class="ql-block">Thursday afternoon and night, went to the Warner Brothers London Studio for a tour where they filmed multiple movies including Harry Potter and many others. </p> <p class="ql-block">On Friday, we explored Tower of London and walked around the city for sightseeing, including the London Eye, Chinatown, Covent Gardens. </p> <p class="ql-block">On Saturday, went to Hyde Park and metup with a friend Ahmed who went to UCLA (he is Egyptian but raised and lives in London). Then went to a modern art museum called Tate Modern. Then we went to Buckingham Palace. </p> <p class="ql-block">At night, we went to Greenwich Park to watch the sunset which had really good views of the city. And then Sunday, we flew back. </p> <p class="ql-block">And that’s it!
