绘本中为小朋友展示了一场发生在农场里奶牛与农夫Brown之间的谈判，奶牛们找到了一台旧打字机，就打了字条贴在谷仓门上，希望农夫Brown能给他们电热毯，因为晚上太冷了，这个要求被农夫拒绝了！

经过多次协商以及罢工之后，最后奶牛与农夫终于取得了一致的意见，奶牛也得到了电热毯……

Farmer Brown has a problem.

His cows like to type.

All day long he hears

At first,he couldn't believe his ears.

一开始，他还觉得是自己的耳朵出了毛病，

Cows that type?

奶牛会打字?

Impossible.

不可能的。

Click,clack,moo.

咔嗒，咔嗒，哞。

🐮• Three

Then,he couldn't believe his eyes.

紧接着，他不敢相信自己的眼睛。

Dear Farmer Brown,

亲爱的农场主布朗

The barn is very cold at night.

谷仓一到晚上就像冰窟窿，

We'd like some electric blankets.

给我们送几条电热毯来吧。

Sincerely,The Cows.

致礼，您的奶牛。

It was bad enough the cows had found the old typewriter

这些奶牛，它们在谷仓里翻出来一个旧打字机还不够。

in the harn,now they wanted electric blankets!

居然还得寸进尺地想要电热毯!

"No way."said Farmer Brown."No electric blankets."

“没门!”布朗嚷嚷着“我的谷仓不提供电热毯”。

But the ladybird saw,And the ladybird heard...

“今天没奶!”布朗惊叫。

In the background,he heard the cows busy at work：

与此同时，他又听到后院里传来了奶牛们 打字的声音。 Click,clack,moo.

咔嗒，咔嗒，哞。

🐮• Six

The next day,he got another notes:

第二天，他又接到一张字条：

Dear Farmer Brown:

亲爱的农场主布朗：

The hens are cold too.

谷仓的母鸡也很冷。

They'd like electric blankets.

它们也想要电热毯。

🐮• Seven

The cows were growing impatient with the farmer.

奶牛们等啊等，终于，对农场主失去了耐心，

They left a new note on the barn door.

它们在谷仓门口留下了一张新字条 。

"No eggs!"cried Farmer Brown.

“没蛋吃了!”布朗惊叫。

In the background he heard them.

与此同时，他又听到后院里传来奶牛们打字的声音。 Click,clack,moo.

咔嗒，咔嗒，哞!

"Cows that type.Hens on strike!

“奶牛在打字，母鸡在罢工！

Whosever heard of such a thing?

How can I run a farm with no milk and no eggs!"

我的农场没奶也没蛋了，还能做什么！”

Farmer Brown was furious.

布朗火冒三丈。

Farmer Brown got out his own typewriter.

农场主拖出了自己的打字机，给奶牛们写了一封信。

Dear Cows and Hens:

亲爱的奶牛和母鸡：

There will be no electric blankets.

我不会送给你们电热毯，

You are cows and hens.I demand milk and eggs.

Duck was a neutral party，

so he brought the ultimatum to the cows .

The cows held an emergency meeting.

All the animals gathered around the barn to snoop,

but none of them could understand Moo.

可没有谁听得懂哞哞叫。

All night long,Farmer Brown waited for an answer.

一整个晚上，布朗都在焦急的等着奶牛的回信。

Duck knocked on the door early the next morning.

第二天一大早，鸭子敲响了农场主的家门。

He handed Farmer Brown a note:

它递给布朗一张字条：

Dear Farmer Brown,

亲爱的农场主，

We will exchange our typewriter for electric blankets.

我们可以用旧打字机来交换电热毯。

Leave them outside the barn door and

we will send Duck over with the typewriter.

🐮• Thirteen

Farmer Brown decided this was a good deal.

He left the blankets next to the barn door，

and waited for Duck to come with the typewriter.

The next morning he got a note:

Dear Farmer Brown,

The pond is quite boring.

We'd like a diving board,
