罗伯特·弗罗斯特（Robert Frost，1874年3月26日——1963年1月29日）出生于美国旧金山，是20世纪最受欢迎的美国诗人之一。

《雪夜林间驻停》是弗罗斯特最有名的诗歌之一。诗中的小马、雪花、树林和冰湖在暮色茫茫中构成一幅唯美画面，“我”被眼前静谧、神秘的氛围所感染，久久驻足不愿离去，但是生活的责任和重负又把“我”引向现实。

Whose woods these are I think I know.

His house is in the village though; 

He will not see me stopping here

To watch his woods fill up with snow. 

我想我知道谁是林子的主人，

他的家就在那座小村。
