Down by the Sally Gardens 去年此园中，

My love and I did meet 风光不与同。

She passed the Sally Gardens 熠熠清辉照，

With little snow-white feet 莹莹荷上凝。

She bid me take love easy 乱花迷人眼，

As the leaves grow on the tree 折柳独为卿。

But I being young and foolish 无奈朝零落，

With her did not agree 几回为君倾。

In a field by the river 今日临河柳，

My love and I did stand 旧事无处评。

And on my leaning shoulder 此生身何寄，

She laid her snow-white hand 飘零雨打萍。

She bid me take life easy 浮云游子意，

As the grass grows on the weirs 落雨故人情。

But I was young and foolish 少时不解语，

And now am full of tears 晓来意难平。
