<p class="ql-block">English Teaching Skills Competition of High School Teachers,Jiangchuan District,2021</p><p class="ql-block">-Actual record from English Teaching&Research Group of No.2 High School of Jiangchuan</p> <p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">While we are still attached to the yellow leaves of autumn, the city has already ushered in the warm sun of winter, which also leads to a special competition.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">In order to further promote the development of English teaching skills, refine the teacher team and explore the efficient English teaching mode, the 9th Xingyun Cup English Teaching Competition of High School was held as scheduled under the careful arrangement of Jiangchuan District Education and Sports Bureau.</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> Preparation stage <p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">Our English Teaching & Research group attached immense importance to this competition and carefully selected six participants in the preparation stage. They prepared their lessons carefully, designed their teaching exquisitely, adopted distinctive teaching methods, and were well-guided and enlightening, striving to show their superb teaching art. At the same time, they repeatedly polished their lessons in different classes and kept modifying their teaching contents with the active contribution of the whole group of teachers. She has conducted a valuable class for us, which inspired the six participants and other teachers a lot.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> Competition stage <p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">The location of this final competition was not our school, meaning that we had to face students who had never been in contact with each other and had no chance to develop a tacit understanding with them. However, the three participants of our school worked hard to overcome their disadvantages and did their best to perform the best of their abilities in the competition.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">Miss. Li , the topic of the lesson is Book 3 Unit 1 Festivals and Celebrations 《Reading and Thinking》. In the warm-up session, Miss. Li presented a series of pictures about festivals closely related to the teaching content and make students psychologically prepared for the new content before studying the text. Furthermore, various reading questions of different difficult levels were designed to exercise students' learning skills. </p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <p class="ql-block">Highlights</p> <p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">Miss. Cai, the topic of the lesson is Book 1 Unit 5 Languages Around the World "Reading for Writing." Miss. Cai used group work and competition to mobilize students' enthusiasm fully; used modern multimedia technology to show students' achievements and provide timely feedback visually; used group discussion to brainstorm and improve their writing skills.</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <p class="ql-block">Highlights</p> <p class="ql-block"> Miss. Zhao, the topic of the lesson is "Five-steps Method of English Writing - An Application Letter." Miss. Zhao led students to analyze the "Analysing-Outlining-Connecting-Polishing-Writing "The five-steps method of writing allows students to learn the steps of writing a good essay in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.</p><p class="ql-block ql-indent-1"><br></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <p class="ql-block">Highlights</p> Admirable rivals <p class="ql-block ql-indent-1">The three participants of our school cannot complete the competition successfully without the support of the teachers and the cooperation of students of <span style="font-size:18px;">our brother-like school, No.1 High School of Jiangchuan,</span>and we would like to express our gratitude to them once again.
