<p class="ql-block">先伯⽗名为吴绍勤字国忠，宗诚公之次⼦也.世居安海星塔乡，以农为业.先祖⽗⺟未闻道时，佞佛甚谨.</p><p class="ql-block">诸⽗从幼受其濡染，亦习与俱化焉.迨及灵光烛照,祖⽗⺟先后归真,引家当道.⽽先伯⽗年登⼗六，因幼时奉契夫⼈妈例须赛原酬神烛，坚持不肯脱俗。惟上主召⼈旨不移，旋亦蒙神开化，同归觉路。</p><p class="ql-block">归主后，对于圣道钻研维勤，信奉甚笃。年⼗九⽽领洗进教焉。时倪为霖教</p><p class="ql-block">⼠主持泉安⼀带教会，⻅其热诚可造，⻘睐有加，佣之于侧，使得就近学道，及稍有根底，即进之回澜圣道书</p><p class="ql-block">院。俾浔悉⼼研究，以备传道之先。</p><p class="ql-block">时⾏年⼆⼗有六，正近苏公发愤读书之年，春秋四阅毕所学，⽽任圣役。并由吴罗密教⼠介绍聘林淑贞⼥⼠为室，即于光绪九年五⽉⼗⽇成婚。⼥⼠为故传道林德全之⼥公⼦，⾃幼从⽗⺟信道，稚龄疼失怙恃。蒙⼥教⼠提携教养，赋性聪颖，⽴品端庄，德学兼优，甚称⼥</p><p class="ql-block">中之秀。来归后，先伯⽗如⻥得⽔,伉丽甚笃，相敬相爱，如友如宾，同德同⼼为主服务,历任仙苑，溪尾，蓬壶及泉州医院传道.到处⻅称得⼈钦仰,盖得⼒于伯</p><p class="ql-block">⺟内助之贤也.年四⼗⼀应漳属⽩⽔营堂会之聘，于光绪⼆⼗年春，⽴为该堂牧师。</p><p class="ql-block">在任七年，⿎吹建堂煞费经营，教会颇有起⾊。光绪廿七年，应⻄公会聘，</p><p class="ql-block">转任⽯并传道历⼆年。深沪教会有建堂之举,公会以先伯⽗于建堂富有经验，即聘其移任督理。⽅在鸠⼯庀村将告成功时，不幸沪地疫病⼤发。伯⺟及次⼥贞志，四⼥贞苦先后染疫⽽逝,遗下四男⼆⼥，强半幼稚。先伯⽗于壮年失此得⼒内助，家政会务乏所倚畀,曷胜伤疼，旋因中馈，不可⽆主。即于光绪卅三年⼆⽉续娶余⽒，以资照拂俾得专⼒会务，⽽免内顾之忧,厥后再移住潘径。直⾄⺠国五年先伯⽗以春秋渐⾼，念故乡信</p><p class="ql-block">赵牧师名勤，字国忠，是诚先⽣的第⼆⼉⼦，世代居信在晋江县安海镇星塔乡，务农为⽣，他的祖⽗⺟在不知道基督时是信佛的。他从⼩也跟⻓辈信佛。在他⼗六岁时，他的祖⽗受主的感召先后改信基督，但他因⼩时侯许过愿。开始坚持不肯改变信仰，但在主的召唤下终于醒悟，也改信了基督教。</p><p class="ql-block">⾃从信奉基督后，他对圣道认真道钻研，信仰坚定。⼗九岁时受洗正式⼊教，当时，倪为霖教⼠主持泉安，带</p><p class="ql-block">教会⼯作，发现他对主很热诚，将来定有作为,就将他带在身边,⼀边⼯作，⼀边学道，当他对圣道研究有了⼀定的基础后，⼜进⼊回澜圣道书院进修，为以后传道准备。他在⼆⼗六岁时，开始传道。同时，经由吴罗密教⼠介绍，他与林淑贞⼥⼠于1882年05⽉10⽇结婚。林淑贞⼥⼠为已故林德全传道的⼥⼉，从⼩跟⽗⺟信奉基督，幼年时代就失去了⽗⺟，由⼥教⼠培养⻓⼤，她天赋聪颖，品学兼优，是个⾮常出众的⼥⼦，⾃从娶了林⼥⼠为妻后，他如⻥得⽔，夫妻感情很好，同⼼同德为主服务。他先后在XianYuan仙范，XiWei溪尾,</p><p class="ql-block">PengHu蓬壶及泉州医院传道，所到之外都深得⼈们的尊敬，这些都得⼒于夫⼈的帮助，1894年春当他四⼗⼀岁时，被Zhangzhoucounty漳州县BaShuiYing</p><p class="ql-block">他从来都虔诚待奉主，到了晚年对于祈祷，灵修更是尽⼼尽⼒。他对家事也⾮常严谨，对⼉⼥的教育很重视，四个男孩和⼆个⼥⼉都受到中学甚⾄⼤学的教育。成⼈后在学校或社会中都担任重要的职务。他⾃⼰的⽣活⾮常俭仆，对贫苦⼈⺠则尽⼒帮助。每当会友或亲戚，邻居得了病。他除了⽴即送药外，⼀定亲⾃去探视直到痊愈。他对国家的事也⾮常的关⼼。当时⽇本侵略中国，他很痛很，坚决不买⽇本的东⻄。还曾为国难禁⻝祈祷。当遇到⽔，草灾荒时，他满脸愁容，虔⼼祷告。当他⼋⼗岁的⽣⽇时，⼉⼥们想为他⽣⽇宴席，他则以等到国家太平后再补办来推托。他真是’先天下之忧⽽忧，后天下之乐⽽乐’。</p><p
