2. Internal organs

1. Brain – The brain is the body’s control center. It responds to information from the senses and sends signals to the other parts of the body telling them what to do.

Irene: We use brain to think. Five senses: see, hear, smell, touch and taste.

2.Lungs – Your lungs expand and contract, sucking in oxygen-rich air from around you and breathing out used air that has a lot of carbon dioxide. They are responsible for getting oxygen into, and carbon dioxide out of, your blood.

Digestive system –

The digestive system includes the mouth, throat, stomach, liver, and intestines. This is the path that food and drinks follow after you chew and swallow them. The digestive system pulls nutrients out of your food to be used in your body.

3.Stomach – The stomach is the main digester in your body. It contains a strong acid that helps to break down your food.

4.Liver –

The liver helps to clean toxins out of the blood and also produces many of the chemicals needed to digest food.

5. digestines

The functions of intestines are to digest food and to enable the nutrients released from that food to enter into the bloodstream.

Our intestines consist of two major subdivisions: the small intestine and the large intestine. The small intestine is much smaller in diameter（直径）, but is much longer and more massive（巨大的） than the large intestine. Together the intestines take up most of the space within the abdominal body cavity and are folded many times over to pack their enormous length into such a small area. 

6. Heart –

The heart is a strong muscle that pumps blood around your whole body, following a steady rhythm.

7. Kidneys –

Your kidneys filter your blood. They are used to make sure that the right levels of salts and sugars are present in your blood.

8. The bladder

is a round, bag-like organ that stores urine. It is located in the pelvic area, just below the kidneys and right behind the pelvic bone. While it is basically a fleshy storage tank, it is very complex in its design.

4. Eyes

the different parts of the eye:

The hair above your eyes – your eyebrows.

You can feel a bone right underneath your eyebrows. That's the brow bone.

The skin that covers your eye, is the eyelid.

The fold, when your opens and the skin folds in – the crease of your eye.

Along the edge of your eye, there are hairs that grow out. Those are your eyelashes.

The lash line is the edge of your eye where your lashes are.

The inner corner of your eye is also your tear duct. when you cry, tear will come out of the tear duct.

And this is the outer corner of your eye.

The waterline is the edge of your eye that is closest to the eyeball.

use a brow pencil to fill in your eyebrows and make them look stronger.

choose a very light shade of eye shadow, and I will put it on your eyelid with brushes.

put a darker color of eye shadow in your crease or outer corner of your eye.

5. skin

Hair is part of your skin. with the magnifying glass, you can look at the hair that grows out of your skin. short hairs grow on your arms and legs. Long hairs grow on your head. Each hair grows out of a little hole called a follicle.

A follicle is a kind of tiny pocket. The hair grows up from the bottom of the follicle.

Look at your fingertips under the magnifying glass. you can see loops and lines. Rub your fingers in some finger paint, press the tips down on the piece of white paper, lift your hand carefully.Your fingerprints show loops and lines. you can see them better under a magnifying glass.

Fingernails and toenails are part of your skin. They protect the tips of your fingers and toes.When you cut your hair, you don't feel anything. When you cut your nails, you don't feel anything either.

1. Your nail is chipped. You could catch it on something.

2. You could also rip off your nail and hurt yourself. Let me trim it for you now.
