<p class="ql-block">Day 5 My learning journey in Meiji</p> <p class="ql-block"><span style="font-size: 18px;">A charming girl named Emily told us how our brain learns. I 've never heard this before, I should read more professional books about teaching,then we can teach students and our own kids in a scientific way.</span></p> <p class="ql-block">Emily explained Stages of Development for Early Learning from Birth to Age 7. She gave me some advice how to teach my little son English in his age. He is 3years old, so he can learn something new quickly by music.</p> <p class="ql-block">Then she told us the ways to teach phonics by doing some activities . I realized that no matter what they teach, they put the activities into the learning-teaching.</p> <p class="ql-block">Malachy reminded us that a small present -stop-practice- ,then present-stop -practice.....</p> <p class="ql-block">You can do things effectively in a right way. So methods are so important.</p> <p class="ql-block">Reading - I like reading all kinds of books. I am crazy about this line : The love of reading leads to lifelong learning and fillfullment.</p> <p class="ql-block">Then we learned how to teach reading , The differnt texts need different types of methods. Emily showed us some activies of teaching reading.Wow they inspired me for my reading teaching. Reading, listening and writing are combined.</p> <p class="ql-block">Emily opened my mind to teaching the Grammar, we just translated the rules of grammar and practice , Both teachers and students are tired of it.</p> <p class="ql-block">PPP and TTT</p> <p class="ql-block">Present </p> <p class="ql-block">Practice</p> <p class="ql-block">Produce</p><p class="ql-block">We can also practice grammar by communication, and Emily showd some skills for us.</p> <p class="ql-block">What impressed me most is Erro Correction. Different erros need different types of erro correction. I have learned it and I will apply them in my teaching.</p> <p class="ql-block">At night,we had a debat -a hot debat. I am not good at giving a speech. I think I should overcome the sychological problem first. Then Mona reminded us that what to say ,whom you say to, what your opinion is, how much you say when you speak.</p><p class="ql-block">I set another goal for me: practice speech.</p>
