As we have fought to establish and consolidate our leadership over the country, we have in fact been fighting to earn and keep the people’s support.</p><p class="ql-block">中国共产党根基在人民、血脉在人民、力量在人民。</p><p class="ql-block">The Party has in the people its roots, its lifeblood, and its source of strength.</p> <p class="ql-block">任何想把中国共产党同中国人民分割开来、对立起来的企图，都是绝不会得逞的！9500多万中国共产党人不答应！14亿多中国人民也不答应！</p><p class="ql-block">Any attempt to divide the Party from the Chinese people or to set the people against the Party is bound to fail. The more than 95 million Party members and the more than 1.4 billion Chinese people will never allow such a scenario to come to pass.</p> <p class="ql-block">中国人民从来没有欺负、压迫、奴役过其他国家人民，过去没有，现在没有，将来也不会有。中国人民也绝不允许任何外来势力欺负、压迫、奴役我们，谁妄想这样干，必将在14亿多中国人民用血肉筑成的钢铁长城面前碰得头破血流！ </p><p class="ql-block">We have never bullied, oppressed, or subjugated the people of any other country, and we never will. By the same token, we will never allow any foreign force to bully, oppress, or subjugate us. Anyone who would attempt to do so will find themselves on a collision course with a great wall of steel forged by over 1.4 billion Chinese people.</p> <p class="ql-block">任何人都不要低估中国人民捍卫国家主权和领土完整的坚强决心、坚定意志、强大能力！ </p><p class="ql-block">No one should underestimate the resolve, the will, and the ability of the Chinese people to defend their national sovereignty and territorial integrity.</p> <p class="ql-block">我们积极学习借鉴人类文明的一切有益成果，欢迎一切有益的建议和善意的批评，但我们绝不接受“教师爷”般颐指气使的说教！ </p><p class="ql-block">We are eager to learn what lessons we can from the achievements of other cultures, and welcome helpful suggestions and constructive criticism. We will not, however, accept sanctimonious preaching from those who feel they have the right to lecture us.</p> <p class="ql-block">新时代的中国青年要以实现中华民族伟大复兴为己任，增强做中国人的志气、骨气、底气，不负时代，不负韶华，不负党和人民的殷切期望！ </p><p class="ql-block">In the new era, our young people should make it their mission to contribute to national rejuvenation and aspire to become more proud, confident, and assured in their identity as Chinese people so that they can live up to the promise of their youth and the expectations of our times, our Party, and our people.</p> <p class="ql-block">一百年前，中国共产党的先驱们创建了中国共产党，形成了坚持真理、坚守理想，践行初心、担当使命，不怕牺牲、英勇斗争，对党忠诚、不负人民的伟大建党精神，这是中国共产党的精神之源。</p><p class="ql-block">A hundred years ago, the pioneers of Communism in China established the Communist Party of China and developed the great founding spirit of the Party, which is comprised of the following principles: upholding truth and ideals, staying true to our original aspiration and founding mission, fighting bravely without fear of sacrifice, and remaining loyal to the Party and faithful to the people.
