Festive China | International Children’s Day <h1></h1> Part 1 the origin Children's Day is a commemorative date celebrated annually in honor of children, whose date of observance varies by country . In 1925,International Children's Day was first proclaimed in Geneva during the World Conference on Child Welfare. Since 1950 , it is celebrated on 1 June in most Communist and post-Communist countries. World Children's Day is celebrated on 20 November to commemorate the Declaration of the Rights of the Child by the UN General Assembly on 20 November 1959. Part 2 Cultural Diversity Singapore In Singapore's National Amusement Park , there is avery interesting rule : children should buy full tickets on Children's Day , while adults should buy half tickets. This not only let the children delightedly experience the feeling ofbeing an adult , but also let the adults find their longlost childhood. Japan “753” children's day in Japanese customs , three , five and seven years old are the three lucky ages for children, so every year, this day is specially celebrated for children of these three ages . On this day , the children will wear the best traditional kimono and carry a small paper bag with pine , tortoise or crane on its back . The paper bag is full of candy and toys bought by their parents . After dressing up, the parents will take the children to the shrine , praying and appreciating the gods for bringing health and happiness to the children. Russia Like China , children’s Day in Russia is also celebrated on June 1st . The International Children’s Day is also established in Russia. When children’s Day comes, kids all over Russia will happily celebrate their own festival by performing some folk songs and dances. Schools will also hold celebrations. Africa In South Africa , Children’s Day is on the first Saturday of November . This event has been celebrated each year from 2004 until 2009 in Eldorado Park. It was done by an organization called Child Evangelism Fellowship. During this period there was growth in this community andno one knew about children being on drugs.Since the Nationa Children’s Day has been faithfully celebrated again in this community the use of drugs among children who come to these celebrations has declined. China 　　 June 1 Children's Day, also known as the International Children's Day . Schools usually hold different activities on Children's Day or the day before , such as children's performances , camping and so on . In China , children will receive gifts , and most amusement parks will have discount prices and prepare children's gifts on the day. Children of civil servants might also receive small gifts from the government until they are fourteen , and Civil servants who have children sometimes have a half-day holiday on 1 June to spend more time with their children.
