<p class="ql-block">  Today,&nbsp;it is a great honor to stand here and&nbsp;speak . I value this chance of sharing teaching experience with distinguished teachers very much. To be honest ,if someone asked me to record what I said three years ago,I was nervous. My heart would have jumped out of my chest if I hadn’t tried my best to control my breath.</p><p class="ql-block"> 今天,站在这里演讲是我的荣幸。我非常珍惜这次与各位老师分享教学经验的机会。诚实地说,如果三年前有人让我记录下我所说的内容,我是紧张的。</p> <p class="ql-block">  The reason lies in the fact that I really didn’t know what to say at that time! Well today, being a teacher of English for&nbsp;three&nbsp;years in Xiangyang, I have a strong sense of responsibility, which always fills me with strength and confidence. I am from Xiangyang&nbsp;Middle School located in the south&nbsp;part of Yi’an. There are two extremes in my school. About 90% are from local resident families, someone whose parents are rich and some even rich enough to own several buildings.</p><p class="ql-block"> 事实上,原因是当时我真的不知道说什么。然而今天,在向阳已经当了三年的英语老师。我有一种充满力量和自信的责任感。我来自于依安南部的向阳学校。大约90%的学生来自于当地,有的父母很有钱,有的父母甚至更有钱、并且拥有好几套独立住房。</p> <p class="ql-block">  But some of the children in such families turned out to be slow in their lessons. They seem to have everything but the motivation of learning. However, About 60% of the students are from farming&nbsp;class families in the villages , whose parents are very busy. Sometimes when we visit these students at home we noticed that a large proportion of their living standards are very poor. Some don’t even have desks good enough to finish their homework on.</p><p class="ql-block"> 但是在这样富有的孩子中,有一些在学习中就会拖拉。除了学习的动力,他们似乎什么都有。然而,大约60%的学生来自家长很忙的务农家庭。有时,当我们去家访的时候,注意到大多数生活水平是困难的,有的甚至没有课桌写作业。</p> <p class="ql-block">  I still remember once I saw my student coming to school with one arm hanging on her neck. When asked she just said she was careless when she run across a river, fell down and broke her arm. But later I got to know that she fell from the place she sleeps on the second floor at home, where half of it is a small shop in the village, while she was climbing down the ladder. At that time she was in a hurry to go to school.</p><p class="ql-block"> 我依然记得有一次我看见一个学生一只胳膊挂在脖子上就来学校了。当我问她时,她只是说当她路过一条小河时,不小心掉下去,摔坏胳膊了。但是后来我知道她是从小店的二楼睡觉的时候掉下来的。同时,她着急的跑来学校。</p> <p class="ql-block">  Not until then did I realized how hard it is for some of our students to manage to survive without their parents, let along concentrate in learning their lessons at school. I believe if children live in poverty, they learn to fight for their future, if children live in comfort ,they learn to enjoy themselves. Then come the questions, “How could I help them?” “What do they need most?” After some years of practicing I got to know four&nbsp;golden rules in English teaching in such kind of schools.</p><p class="ql-block"> 直到那时,我才意识到在没有父母陪伴下,孩子的生活多么困难。我相信,如果孩子生活在贫穷中,他们会为未来拼搏。如果生活在舒适中,他们就学会了享受。那么,问题来了:“我如何帮助他们呢?”“他们最需要什么呢?”在几年的实践之后,在英语学习上我总结了四条黄金法则。</p> <p class="ql-block">  Rule No.1 Getting to know what exactly problems in our students’ learning English have and trying best to give them individual instructions;</p><p class="ql-block"> Rule No.2 Try best to build up their confidence, let them have a taste of success. Make them believe that English is not that difficult as they thought to be;</p><p class="ql-block"> Rule No.3 Never trying to teach them the knowledge of English until they really mastered their own way of studying. For the most valuable knowledge is not the knowledge itself; it is the learning ways.</p><p class="ql-block"> Rule No. 4 The most important aspect in teaching here is love we cherish during teaching. If we don’t love our students whole-heartedly ,we will never succeed in &nbsp;education .</p><p class="ql-block"> 法则1:真正了解学生们学习英语的困难所在,并且尽力给出建议。</p><p class="ql-block"> 法则2:尽力建立起他们的自信,让他们尝到成功的滋味。使他们相信英语没有他们想象的那么难。</p><p class="ql-block"> 法则三:直到他们掌握了学习的方法,才去教授他们知识。最珍贵的不是知识本身,而是学习方法。</p><p class="ql-block"> 法则四:在教学过程中,最重要的一方面就是爱。如果,我们不是全身心的爱学生,在教育上就不是成功的。</p> <p class="ql-block">  So from what my experience, “love” is the key to motivate our students! </p><p class="ql-block"> 所以,从我的经验来看,爱是激发学生们的法宝。</p>
