深圳野生动物园Field Trip活动

新年第一天，和双语工程的小伙伴Aloe&Maria一家相约打卡深圳野生动物园。


Shenzhen Safari Park深圳野生动物园

Shenzhen Safari Park in Nanshan District is the first zoo in China to uncage animals. Covering an area of 640,000 square meters (158 acres), there are more than 300 kinds of wild animals, in total 10,000 from all over the world. Many of them are rare animals, such as giant pandas, south China tigers, golden monkeys, Siberian tigers, flamingoes, giraffes, zebras, and Asian elephants. And there are also rare
hybrids of tigers and lions: tigons and ligers.
深圳野生动物园，位于广东省深圳市南山区西丽湖东侧， 占地面积60多万平方米，是一家放养式的野生动物园。深圳野生动物园内放养着300多种，近万头（只）野生动物，这些动物除来自全国各地外，还来自世界各洲，当中有不少属于世界珍禽名兽和中国一、二级保护动物，如华南虎、金丝猴、东北虎、火烈鸟、麦哲伦企鹅、长颈鹿、斑马、亚洲象、丹顶鹤、犀牛等，还有非常珍稀的虎狮兽、狮虎兽。

出发之前把最近读的动物园和动物相关的绘本和分级先读了一遍。

Field Trip


一、动物园入口

Mom: We are almost there. Let’s walk to the zoo.

Judy: Okay.

Mom: Do you see the statues of animals? Let’s take a look.

Judy: This is a giraffe/goat/horse/….

Mom: Look at the fountain and the dolphin. Here we are! Let’s take a picture here.

Now let’s check in.

Flamingoes 火烈鸟
　　
Mom: Can you see the flamingoes? What color are they?
Judy: They are pink.
Mom: Do you know why they are pink?
Judy: No.
Mom: Flamingoes are pink because of the food they eat.
The baby flamingoes are just gray and white. When they’re about two years old, they start turning pink from pigments in the food they eat.

Pelicans鹈鹕

Mom:Look, there are many pelicans. They have long beaks and Big wings.
Judy: They can swim in the water.
Mom: Yes. And They are good at catching fish. Look, this pelican is flapping wings and turning around. It's dancing.

长臂猿 Gibbons/Monkeys

Mom: What are these people looking at?

Oh, they are looking at the monkey. The monkey is very naughty. Look,it's swinging in the tree.
Judy:The monkey can climb.

Mom: Yes, monkeys are good at climbing. What do monkeys like to eat?

Judy: They like to eat bananas.

Mom: That’s right. Monkeys love bananas. And they like to eat leaves too.

Peacocks孔雀

Mom: Look, the peacocks are opening their tails. They have huge tails with fancy feathers. It’s amazing. You can see the beautiful patterns of their feathers.

Aloe's mom: Are they male or female peacocks?
Aloe: They are male peacocks.
Judy's mom: Yes, male peacocks are beautiful.
雄孔雀开屏求偶而雌孔雀忙着吃虫子的画面惹得Aloe哈哈大笑。
Judy's mom:The male peacock is showing its beautiful tail to the female peacock. But the female peacock is busy eating worms. 'You are not my type!'
Kids: Hahaha

看完孔雀遇到了带着鹦鹉的工作人员，问宝宝要不要让鹦鹉站在手臂上合影。

Parrots鹦鹉

Mom: Judy, do you want to take pictures with the parrot？
Judy:Yes.
Mom:Okay, you can let the parrot stand on your arm.
Judy: Okay.
Mom: Say hello to the parrot.
Judy: Hello parrot!
Mom:Hi parrot. Can you talk? 'I'm a clever parrot. I'm a noisy parrot!'

小伙伴Aloe和Maria姐姐看到我们在和鹦鹉拍照，也一起加入进来，这是Maria家的亲子对话:

Aloe:Mommy, that parrot looks so beautiful.

Aloe's mom:yeah,do you want to hold it?

K:No,so scary.

Aloe's mom: Don't worry.It won't peck you because it is well trained.Do you see the staff? He said this parrot is very kind.

Aloe:All right.We will try. Ah…Help~

Aloe's mom: Just relax…She is very kind!See,I will take a picture and video for you two.

Aloe:Quickly Mommy~It's so heavy.But I won't feel scared any more.

Aloe's mom:You are so great and brave.

Kangaroos袋鼠

Judy's Mom: Now let’s go to see the kangaroos. They are from Australia. (sing)Does a kangaroo have a mother too?Yes a kangaroo has a mother, just like me and you.
Mommy kangaroo has a big pouch so that their babies can ride in it.

Aloe:I think this kangaroo is male.

Aloe's mom: How do you know?

Aloe:I Just know.

Judy's mom: Because It doesn't have pouch, right? Female kangaroos have pouches.

Judy:This is mommy kangaroo. This is baby kangaroo.

Judy's mom:Yes, mommy kangaroo is hopping with baby kangaroo in its pouch.

Look at that kangaroo. It's walking slowly. Kangaroos are not good at walking because they cannot move their legs independently. They are good at hopping.

Swans天鹅

Aloe's mom:Look, the swans are swimming in the lake. They are big. And they have long, long necks. They can swim and fly. Do you like swans?

Aloe: Yes, we do. They are so beautiful.Why I can't see white swans,there are only black swans?

Aloe's mom: Yes, maybe the white swans are sleeping.The black swans also beautiful and elegant.

Giraffes长颈鹿

Mom: Look at the giraffes! Giraffes are the tallest animals on earth. Their necks can grow to be 2 meters long! And they have extremely long tongues which help them reach for leaves from the trees.What do giraffes like to eat?
Judy: They like to eat leaves.
Mom: That’s right. They love green leaves. It's a pity that we cannot feed the giraffes today. It's too late.

Mom: Come and see the elephants. Elephants are the biggest mammals in the world. An elephant has two big ears and a long trunk. Elephants’ noses are called trunks. Their trunks are very sensitive and flexible. They can use their trunks to pick up peanuts, bananas or carrots to eat. Elephants can also use their trunks to suck up water and squirt the water out.

Mom: These zebras are from Africa. They have black and white stripes. They can run fast.
Judy: They like to eat grass.

Aloe:Judy, let's go to See the Jellyfish. What do Jellyfish look like?
Judy:...
Judy's Mom: She doesn't know a lot about Jellyfish. I think they look like umbrellas? Let's take a look. Oh, they look like mushrooms floating in the water.

Sea Lions
原以为在海洋天地表演是海豹Seals,到了现场才发现是海狮Sea Lions. 老母亲海狮海豹傻傻分不清😂
　　
Mom: Look,the sea lion is clapping hands. Actually, sea lions don’t have hands. They only have flippers. These flippers help them swim fast in water. They can stand or walk with their flippers too. What do Sea lions like to eat?
Judy: They like to eat fish.
Mom: Yes, when they do a great job, the trainers will give them fish. Look, the sea lion can catch the ball. And he can pick and throw the frisbee.



Dolphins海豚
　　
Mom: Now the dolphins are coming. Dolphins are the cutest marine animals. What can dolphins do?
Judy: They can swim and jump.
Mom: They are jumping out of the water.
Judy: There is a ball.

Judy: This panda is eating.
Mom: Yes, that panda is sleeping. This panda is eating bamboo. Look, It's so cute. It's black and white. And it has black fur around its eyes. What does panda like to eat?
Judy:It likes to eat bamboo.

　　由于我们入园比较晚，看完熊猫天已经黑了，麦哲伦企鹅、猛兽谷的狮子、老虎以及两栖爬行动物都没看。最精彩的百兽盛会也只看了个结尾。留下了一些遗憾。不过孩子们一起说说笑笑，Aloe大姐姐和Maria小姐姐一路都特别关照Judy小妹妹，妈妈们也相谈甚欢，大家都收获了非常美好的一天。
