On Christmas Day 一大早，就从睡梦中醒来，顾不上刷牙、洗脸，就直接去找他放在圣诞树下的长统袜。因为我们在平安夜等他睡着后，准备了好几份礼物放在小小的圣诞树下。当他看到不止一份两份礼物时，特别开心。因为赶着上学，他早上只拆了其中的两份礼物，一份是他期待已久的斗兽棋，一份是他喜欢的巧克力。 他还拆了一份非常重要的礼物，那就是“圣诞老人”的回信。 为了表示对他的爱，我也准备了一张卡片挂在树上，除了祝福语外，签上了我和爸爸的名字。 他很兴奋地感受到了来自爸爸妈妈的亲情。

In the early morning, Alvin woke up from his sleep. Instead of brushing his teeth and washing his face, he went straight to his stockings under the Christmas tree. On Christmas Eve, when Alvin went to sleep, we prepared several presents and put them under the little Christmas tree. He was so happy when he saw more than one present. Since he needed to go to school, he opened only two of the presents on that morning. One was the animal checker he had been waiting for, and the other one was the chocolate he liked. He also opened a very important gift, that is the letter from "Santa Claus" . To show my love, I also prepared a card to hang on the tree. In addition to the blessing, I add my signature of his dad Victor's. He was excited to feel the affection from his parents.

圣诞节刚好是星期五，下午姐姐从学校回来了. Alvin 说了，剩下的礼物要等着姐姐一起来拆。为了这一点点所谓的仪式感，我们还订购了有圣诞元素的小蛋糕。 说实话，蛋糕的味道还真是不怎么样，吸引孩子的是蛋糕上面的圣诞小玩偶。吃着小蛋糕，陪着孩子们拆礼物，体会着他们的开心，跟着他们一起感受圣诞的气氛。比起很多家庭的圣诞节，我们这个小小动作已是太过普通了。但对于我们自己来说，这是这么多年以来，第一次稍带认真地过了一次圣诞节。同时，也利用这个节日，带着Alvin 一起学习了有趣的英文和小故事。

Christmas Day just happened to weekend (Friday), Alvin's sister, Daisy came home from School in the afternoon. Alvin preferred to open the rest presents together with Daisy. For this little bit of ritual, we also ordered cakes with Christmas elements. To be honest, the taste of the cake was not good. What attracted kids was the Christmas ornaments on the cake. Taste cakes, open presents with kids, experience their joy, and feel the Christmas spirit with them. Compared to many families, we are too common. But for ourselves, for the first time in many years, Christmas was a little more serious in our family. At the same time, I also took this chance to learn interesting English and short stories with Alvin.

Gift One：A powerful gun M416 from Santa Claus

这支高大上的M416， 是他反反复复念叨很久的， 自然是要告诉他，这是来自北极的真正的圣诞老人送给他的礼物。因为圣诞老人收到了他写的信。 在此，要特别谢谢真正的圣诞老人，办公事同事Tracy。小家伙那份开心溢于言表。
He expected the gun for a long time. We told him that giant gun 416 was given by Santa Claus from the North Pole, because Santa got the letter he wrote. Of course, we also deeply appreciated such a favorite gift from the real“Santa“，my colleague Ms. Tracy. Alvin‘s happiness was beyond words when he got this gun.
Gift Two: Ultraman card (奥特曼卡片) 为了鼓励他将英语学习坚持下去，特别告诉Alvin，万思乐学的Ms. Jiang收到他的圣诞信后，特别准备了他喜欢的奥特曼卡片，还是套装，带珍藏册的哦。当初他写信给万思乐学的时候，就在憧憬卡片，如今变成现实，他就坚信中国的圣诞老人就是Ms. Jiang. To encourage him to keep on learning English, we told Alvin that after receiving his Christmas letter, Ms. Jiang has prepared a special set of ultraman card he likes. When he wrote to V-learn, he had been dreaming of the card. Now it has become a reality, he was convinced that the Chinese Santa Claus is Ms. Jiang.

Gift Three: Animal checker 来自爸爸的斗兽棋 Gift Four: Sand clock 来自妈妈的圣诞沙漏

希望Alvin 能珍惜时间，学会管理好自己的时间，慢慢培养自己在学习、作业、钢琴练习等方面的持之以恒。 沙漏刚好是圣诞雪人的设计，和节日很衬哦。

And, of course, we prepared the gifts for Alvin’s sister Daisy, too. They are the daily items like clothes, shoes, which she needs in winter season.

Santa's Grotto

看了Peppy Pig 第四季的动画《Santa's Grotto》and 《Santa's visit》。Alvin 的兴致挺高，不仅反复看了好几次，每次睡觉之前还会自觉听音频。令我没有想到的是，几天下来，他竟然可以完整地复述了。 要知道，我们是还没有正式开启复述的训练的。 孩子的潜能，真的是无限的，需要培养耐心和懂得赞赏的是我们大人。 希望能够借助这次Christmas field trip 的准备与参与，我们可以在接下来的日子上，慢慢走上复述这条路，多些生活场景的应用和口语的积累。 继续加油，Alvin. Alvin watched the chapter "Santa's Grotto" and "Santa's Visit" from Peppy Pig's (4th season) by this chance. He not only watched it several times, but also consciously listened before going to bed. To my surprise, after a few days, he was able to repeat it completely even we haven't officially started the reciting exercise yet. A child's potential is truly limitless, and it is we adults who need to keep patience and appreciation. I hope that with the preparation and participation of this Christmas field trip, we can slowly retell the story in the following days, so as to accumulate more application of daily scenes and oral English.
