🔺车的基本介绍：

This is the car. Every part of the car is very important. Head lights can help the driver to see clearly at night. because it’s very dark. If there is a car pass over on this side，the driver can see the road condition behind him from the outside mirrors. Tail lights show vehicles behind what the car is doing, turning left, turning right and when it is stopping. They also show where the car is.

这是一辆小汽车，它每一部分都很重要。由于夜晚很黑，车头灯可以帮助司机在晚上看得更清楚。如果旁边有车辆通过，司机可以从后视镜看到后面的路况。尾灯显示车辆正在做什么，比如左转，右转，或者停车，它们还能显示汽车的位置。

🔺过马路：Crossing the Street

•Traffic Light 交通灯

When we cross the street，we must check the traffic light. Red light means "stop", green light means "go", and the yellow light means the light is about to turn red.

当我们过马路时，我们必须看交通灯。红灯停，绿灯走，黄灯是表示快要转红灯了。

•Cars May Not Yield 车不一定让你

You should still pay attention when crossing with a green light. Cars making right turns may not let you go first. Also, be aware of those drivers who run red lights.

绿灯时，过马路也要小心。右转的车不一定会让你。另外，还要小心那些闯红灯的司机。

•Hold Mommy's Hand

The last and the most important thing: hold mommy's hand tight and follow mommy.

最后，也是最重要的一点：紧紧拉着妈妈的手，跟着妈妈。

🔺不同的交通工具：Different transportation

•Driven in the air：cable car，plane, helicopter and hot air balloons.

•On the ground：bus，bike, motorcycle，motorscooter.

•At sea：ship，sail boat and submarine.

天上：缆车、飞机、直升机和热气球

🔺不同种类的车：Different cars

What do the cars use for？

这些车有什么作用呢？

Sweeper truck: Used for cleaning the street.

清扫车:用于清扫街道。

Police car：Used to catch the bad guys

警车:用来抓坏人的

Ambulance：Used to save someone life

救护车:用来救人的

Mail car: Used to transfer mail to people.

邮递车:用来把邮件转送给人

Oil tank truck：Used to transfer oil.

油罐车:用于输送油

你和宝宝说英语：超车、并线、追尾、加三儿怎么说

1. 点火、着车 Turn On the Ignition / Start The Car / Start the Engine
虽然中文叫“着车”，但是英文不能说ignite the car，否则就是把车烧掉的意思了。
启动引擎，向着学校出发！
Let me start the car. We are off to school!

2. 熄火、灭车 Turn Off The Ignition / Turn Off The Car / Turn off the Engine
孩子，稍微等我一下。我忘熄火了。
Wait a second, baby. I forgot to turn off the car.
3. 超车 Overtake
咱们超过前面的车去。扶好了，宝宝。
Let’s overtake the car in front of us. Hold on tight, baby.
4. 并线 Changing Lanes
我们下一个出口该出去了，我要并线了。
We have to take the next exit. I am going to change lanes.
5. 追尾 Tailgating
后面这车太猛了，一直追着咱们开。
The car behind us is so aggressive. It has been tailgating us all along.
6. 加三儿，抢 Cutting off
你看见前面的车了么，老是加三儿。这是非常不好的驾驶习惯。你长大开车可不能这样。
You see that car always cutting off others? That’s very rude road manners. Remember not to do that when you start to drive.
7. 对侧车道 Opposite Lane
宝宝你看，对侧车道的车简直是在爬行。你猜怎么回事？是不是有事故啊？
Baby, look, the cars in the opposite lane are slowing to a crawl. What do you think might have happened? Could it be an accident?
8. 对面的车 Oncoming Traffic
晚上开车的时候，尽量不要使用远光灯，因为太亮了，会影响对面的车的。你喜欢亮光对着你闪么？
When driving at night, we should avoid using the high beam whenever possible, because it might be too bright and affect the oncoming traffic. You wouldn’t like to have a bright light shone at your direction, would you?
9. 错车 Tight Squeeze
你觉得这的路够两个车的宽度么？得错一下车。别担心，宝宝。咱们慢点开，好好开。
Do you think this road is wide enough for two cars? It is going to be a tight squeeze. Nothing to worry, baby. We will take this nice and slow.
10. 车库 Garage
我们的文章中讲到了parking lot / car park，指的是公共停车场。那么，自己家的车库怎么说呢？Garage。
没关系。咱们车库里有一个富裕车位。你同学的家长的车可以停。
Don’t worry honey. We have a spare parking space in our garage. Your classmate’s parents can use that spot.

Mom: Do you want to play in the sandboxtoday?

The weather is perfect and it looks quiet at the park.
天气不错，公园里也很安静。
Child: Yes. I can bring all my new trucks I got for my birthday!

Mom: I'll help you set them out.

Can you tell me what each one does?

We call these kinds of trucks "construction vehicles".

Why don't you start with this one first?

Child: I think this one is a bulldozer.

Bulldozer读作 [ˈbuldəuzə]。
Mom: How can you tell?

Child: It has a bucket with a blade at the end and is made to clear or push stuff away.

Mom: How is the bulldozer different from this one over here?
妈妈：推土机和这边这辆有什么区别？
Child: That's the front loader.
宝宝：那是前端装载机。
It's for moving dirt.
它是用来运土的。
It can scoop dirt into its bucket and move it to a different place.
它能把土铲到斗里， 然后运到别的地方。
It is also usually a little bit smaller.
它通常会稍微小一点儿。
Mom: What about that one over there?
妈妈：那边那辆呢？
Child: This one is a dump truck.
宝宝：这是一辆翻斗车。
It has a huge bucket on the back to carry very large loads of dirt.
它的后面有一个巨大的斗，用来运大量的土。
It can't scoop any dirt into the back,but it can pour it all out.
它不能把土铲到后面，但是它能把它都倒出去。
Mom: It sounds like the dump truck can also haul stuff to another construction site if they need it to.
妈妈：好像如果需要的话，翻斗车也能把东西运到另一个建筑工地。
三个表达"运"的词：
(1) Move泛指各种运送方式、可以是抬，也可以是推。
(2) Carry指需要一定的力量，且必须离开地面。
(3) Haul属于carry，且东西较重、运送距离较远。

Child: What does "haul" mean?
宝宝：“搬运”是什么意思？
Mom: It means to carry a large load some distance.
妈妈：它的意思是远距离运大量的货物。
Child: Like I haul my school bag to school each day?
宝宝：就像我每天把书包搬运到学校吗？
Mom: Yeah, kind of like that.
妈妈：对，差不多。
What about this one with two buckets?这辆带两个斗的呢？
Child: That's the backhoe.
宝宝：那是反铲挖土机。
Grandpa also said we can call it a digger.
爷爷说还可以叫它小型挖掘机。
It can dig with its scoop in the back

and it can move dirt with its bucket in the front.

Look, the scoop is at the end of hydraulic arm.

Hydraulic读作 [haiˈdrɔ:lik]。
