1.The history of Halloween day.

Halloween is an annal holiday, celebrated each year on October 31,that has roots in an age-old european traditions.

It originated with the ancient celtic festival of Samhain, Where when people would light bonefires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.

By tradition, Halloween begins after sunset. Long ago, people believed that witches gathered together and ghosts roamed the world on Halloween. Today, most people no longer believe in ghosts and witches. But these supernatural beings are still a part of Halloween.

3.1Halloween party.

M:Today is the Halloween. We're going to take part in a Halloween party.

B: I love parties, especially Halloween parties.

M: We should dress up in our Halloween costumes. I will dress up like a witch.

B: I want to be a spider man.

M: Everyone will be very excited to join the party.

B: Can I take my jack-o- lantern?

M: Of course, you can I will take my broomstick.I can fly there with my black cat.

B: Ha ha, that's so cool.

3.2Trick or treat



Trick or treating is a Halloween costom for children in many countries. Children in costumes travel from house to house, asking for treats with the phrase" trick or treat".

The treat is usually some form of candy. Although in some cultures, money is used instead. The trick is usually an idle threat to perform mischief on the homeowners or their property. If no treat is given.

Trick or treating usually occurs on the evening of October 31. Some homeowners signal that they are willing to hand out treats by putting up Halloween decorations on their homes. Others simply leaves treats on their porches for the children to take freely.

M: On Halloween night, We will play a game named trick or treat.

B: Okay, what should we do?

3.3 bobbing for apples

Bobbing for apples is a traditional autumnal game enjoyed by people of all ages. It requires nothing more than a large tub of water, enough apples to cover the surface, and a group of people willing to get their faces soaking wet. A variation of the game includes hanging apples from strings and attempting to catch them with your teeth as they swing and sway. Each game is a lot of fun to play, and they are great activities for your next Halloween party.

Find a suitable tub. You can use a bucket, a cooler, a basin, or a bin, as long as it is big enough to hold water and apples. Wash the tub first, then place it on a table or cart that is strong enough to hold it when it is full of water.

Fill the tub with cool water. You don’t want the water to be too cold or too hot because people will be sticking their heads in it. Fill the tub about 3/4 full.

Float several apples in the water. Put as many as will fit in your tub, but not so many that the apples don't move: you want it to be a bit of a challenge. You can choose to put apples in for all the participants or refill the tub as you go along.

Select the order of players. You could do this by age, such as allowing the youngest person to go first, or alphabetically, or choose a random order. Alternatively, if you have a big enough tub, everyone can start at the same time and the first person to catch an apple in their teeth is the winner.

Catch an apple with your teeth. Each player must try to grab an apple with only their teeth -- you can’t use your hands! Sink your teeth into the flesh, or try to catch the stem in your teeth. You must get the apple out of the tub using only your teeth, so if you drop it and it falls back into the tub you’ll have to try again.

Keep your hands behind your back while bobbing. You are not allowed to use your hands for bobbing, so each player must keep their hands behind their back at all times. If a player touches the apple with their hands, their turn will not count and they must start over.

Keep track of how long it takes each player to get their apple. To find out who can get their apple the quickest, time each player’s turn. You can have the other players count "1000 one, 1000 two," etc. while the player is bobbing. Or, use a stopwatch to keep track of how long it takes each player to get their apple.

Select the winner. The person who catches an apple in the quickest time is the winner. You could hand out prizes like caramel apples, popcorn balls, candy, or ribbons.

Clean up. Give a towel to each player so they can dry off. Remove any remaining apples and empty the tub of water.

3.4treasure hunting

a treasure map of the living room

a note from Captain Hook, prepared in advance by mommy

Prior to the Game

Hide the key in living room.

Create and duplicate a map that shows the location of the key. Mark the location of the drawer with an X.

Hide the pieces of map in living room.

Write a note from Captain Hook in which he explains that he has hidden a treasure. Kids are to use a treasure map to locate the keys and the treasure.

The note announce that you have found a mysterious letter and that the class is about to embark on a treasure hunt.

• Begin the game

Read the note to kids.

Discuss with kids how to find the map.

They should use landmarks identified on the map to help them find their key.

Go to locate the treasure drawer.

3.5.1mummy wrap game

Materials:

Rolls of toilet paper (some people like to use crepe paper), Newspaper (Optional),Alfoil (Optional)

Instructions:

Divide players into teams of two and give each pair a roll of toilet paper. Instruct one member of each team to race to wrap his partner, mummy-style, at the sound of the music. Teams must use up the whole roll, avoiding the head and wrapping arms separately from the torso.

Once wrapped, the mummy hops to a finish line, holding his arms to his sides and trying not to break any of the wrapping.

The first Mummy to the finish line wins.

3.5.2mummy wrap game

Materials:

Rolls of toilet paper/ Rolls of white cloth

Do you want to be wrapped like a mummy?

Here are the rolls of toilet paper/white cloth. Come here. I'll wrap you from head to toe. First, let me wrap your head and leave your eyes out so you can see. Now wrap your shoulders. Stretch your arms out, please. The arms are done. Turn around. I'll wrap your upper body. Now it's time to wrap your legs. And now the mummy is done. Please take a look in the mirror.

Now you can hop to me and tag me. You are really scary.

It is a little bit hot. Now you can break out of the mummy costume. Is it fun?

3.6Ghost game

you can take a white sheet.

cut out eyes and a big mouth and make a scary ghost.

Bind the two chopsticks together with a rope (or glue) to form the cross.

Put on the sheet and hold the cross.

Ride on the scooter. Now you are a ghost.

Do you want to be a good ghost or a bad one?

I am ill. would you like to help me?

You can point at me with your cross and cast the magic spell. Then I will get well.

3.7Zombie game

You will be a zombie. And I am a human being. You can walk like this.

If I am touched by the zombie, I will become a zombie and we will tag other human.

If I throw a pair of rolled up socks towards you, you will be stunned, and not allowed to tag me for 10 seconds.

Oh, you tagged me.

We are zombies now. Let's go tag other humans.

4.Hand Craft

4.1jack-o’-lantern (制作南瓜灯)

Step1: To carve a Jack-o-Lantern you will need the following materials准备一下材料：

1 Pumpkin

1 Medium Serving Spoon

1 Medium Knife

1 Small Knife

Medium bowl

1 Dry Erase Marker

1 Candle

1 lighter

Step 2: Cutting Out the Stem

Cut a hole around the stem at about a 45 degree angle towards the center of the pumpkin big enough for your hand to fit through.

Step 3: Scooping Out the Pumpkin

Using the medium serving spoon, scoop out the seeds and pulp (the orange stringy material inside the pumpkin) and put it in the bowl.

Step 4: Sketching the Face

On roundest or best looking side, Sketch the desired face or design of your Jack-o-lantern.

Step 5: Carving the Pumpkin

Using the small knife, cut at a perpendicular angle along chosen design. Remove loose pieces of the pumpkin and discard them in to the medium bowl.

Note-Wipe off the extra dry erase markings when finished cutting out the design.

Step 6: Lighting the Pumpkin

Light the candle with the lighter and place inside the Jack-o-lantern. Put the stem back on.

4.2ghost

Materials Needed:

White card stock paper

Puffy Ghost Template

Scissors

school glue

Cotton Balls

Black construction paper

Step 1: Start by cutting out a ghost shape (either use our free template or freehand your own). I just eyeballed the one below, which looks freakishly similar to Pac-Man. It doesn’t have to be perfect because it’s going to get covered with cotton balls anyway!

Step 2: Now let your little one have some fun with the glue. My three-year-old LOVED this part of it. Glue cotton balls on until the ghost is covered

Step 3: Cut out some eyes and a mouth on black paper (or color them in with a black marker) and glue them on. Pro Parent Tip: make it a smile so the ghost looks friendly, not spooky!

Step 4: If you want, you can tape some yarn or string to the back, and hang your ghosts up somewhere in your house.
