Pussycat, Pussycat, what did you there?

Pussycat, Pussycat (often called Pussycat, Pussycat, Where Have You Been?) is an old English nursery rhyme about a pussycat going all the way up to London to visit the Queen. Crazy but funny
这首童谣最早出现在1805年，儿歌里提到的Queen，指的是伊丽莎白一世。伊丽莎白一世被普遍认为是英国历史上最杰出的帝王之一。在她当政期间，英国的经济繁荣昌盛，文学璀璨辉煌，军事上一跃成为世界首屈一指的海军强国。

Percy B. Green, author of A History of Nursery Rhymes (1899), wrote the following about the Pussycat, Pussycat nursery rhyme:
"No doubt the incident giving rise to this verse had to do with the terrible fright Queen Bess (Elizabeth) is supposed to have had on discovering a mouse in the folds of her dress - for it was she of virgin fame to whom pussy-cat paid the visit. It has been asked again and again, 'Why are old maids so fond of cats?' and 'Why are their lives so linked together?' Maybe it is to scare, as did the cat in the rhyme, 'a little mouse from under her chair.'"
James Orchard Halliwell wrote the following about Pussycat, Pussycat in his book

The Nursery Rhymes of England (1843): "There is an old proverb which says that 'a cat may look at a king.' Whether the same adage applies equally to a female sovereign, and is referred to in the following nursery song, or whether it alludes to the glorious Queen Bess, is now a matter of uncertainty."

☑️ Nocturnal animals（夜行动物）
Nocturnal animals are those animals that come out only at night and spend most of the daytime resting or sleeping. Some however are often seen during the day but they are more likely to be active at night. That is not to say that nocturnal animals are active all night. They have alternating periods of resting and eating.
Nocturnal animals are those that remain awake and active during the night. The raccoon, red fox, owl, and the skunk come under the last category.
They hunt or feed during the night
and sleep during the day.

They possess highly developed senses that do not only allow them to avoid predators during the day but it helps to hunt live animals at night. Nocturnal species must have advanced senses, at least one of the senses—hearing, taste, sight, touch, or smell.

☑️ Supplementary -How to save water

Water is very important in our life. We drink it every day and use it to cook and wash things.We can not live without water.

However, many rivers and lakes have gotten dirty.

People inmany places cannot get enough water while some people are wasting water. It’stime for us to do something to save water.

But how can we save water?
There are several ways to save water:
1、Firstly, we should try to use water more than once.
We can do many things with the used water.
For example, we should keep the waterafter we wash fruits and vegetables, and then use it to mop the floor or cleanthe toilet.
2、Secondly, we’d better have a shower instead of a bath.Because bathing needs much more water than showering.
3、Thirdly, we should remember to turn off the tap whilewe are brushing our teeth.
4、Fourthly, it is also helpful if we tell people aroundus to save water together.
If we do not save water,the last drop of water will be a teardrop.To protect water is to protect our life.

• Check for leaks - check taps and pipes in your house to make sure there is no leaks
• Use water saving shower heads. They spread the water out so you use Less each time.
• Turn the tap off when you brush your teeth or wash your hands. Don’t leave the tap running.
• Learn how to wash your own car. Use a sponge and a bucket of water to save on aU of the water used at a carwash.

☑️ Supplementary -Reduce

There are many ways you can reduce the amount of waste you create.
• Say no to disposable shopping bags. Bring your own reusable ones instead
* Choose products that have the least amount of packaging.
• Buy unpackaged items in loose bins when available.
* Use what you already have instead of buying something new.
To reuse means to continue using the products you
have, instead of disposing of them and buying new ones.
• Purchase reusable, rather than disposable, products such as mugs, dishes, cloth napkins, and metal cutlery instead of paper cups, plates, and napkins, and plastic utensils.
• Use refillable containers, like water bottles and soap containers, whenever possible.
• When you must use them, take only as many single-use items, like paper napkins.
• Mend clothing and repair what you can so that they can be reused.
• Sell or donate used clothing and toys instead of throwing them out.
• Use both sides of paper when printing from your computer.

☑️ Supplementary - recycle
Many products are recyclable, meaning they can be made into other products.
• Find shops that accept products like used batteries, motor oil, paint cans, plastic bags, and cell phones, and take these items there when you are finished using them.
• Place all recyclable items, such as glass, aluminium, steel, paper, and plastic, in the appropriate containers around your home.
•Buy things made from recycled materials, like some bottles, cans, bags, paper, glass and dishware.
