• Food chain

All plants need food in order to live.
为了生存，所有的植物需要食物。
Green plants make food.

They need air, water, and sunlight to make food.

What do we need for today’s experiment?
The first one is this.

It looks like water, but It’s not water.So don’t drink it.这是白醋
This is called vinegar. 美[ˈvɪnɪɡər],it has a very strong smell , it’s a liquid with a sour taste.

Next we have our six test tubes.And we can just take the cork [kɔːrk] right out and put it to the side.

Next we need a tray.This tray is very important because you want to keep your table clean.

We also need some baking powder, okay.小苏打
【baking powder is used to make cakes rise and become light. baking soda美[ˈsoʊdə]】

And we also need a little funnel. 美[ˈfʌnl]
【funnel a device that is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom,used for pouring liquids or powders into a small opening】

And then we can do the experiment together.
The first thing is to put our six test tubes on the test tube rack.

Step 2 : put our little funnel in there.
And then we need to open our baking powder.
You can have your mom or dad help you, or you can do it carefully.

Just take that off, just like this. And then open it up.
Make a little crease there so you can pour the powder easily.
OK here we go

Number four!Number five.And number six.OK now, we’re finished that part.

The next part is we must put in color to make our experiment more exciting.
So, our first one is green.

We just put a few little drops of green.Maybe four drops is okay, kids.

We don’t want the same colors, kids. we want different colors.

Now, we’ve put our baking soda into our test tubes.
We’ve put our color inside.


Now for the big explosion, 美[ɪkˈsploʊʒn] we take our vinegar.
And we’re gonna quickly pour the vinegar into all the test tubes.
Start from one side and go all the way to the other side.


OK here we go.
Oh my Gosh, amazing! So beautiful!
Wow it is so beautiful, hey, it’s pretty cool, huh?

You see when the baking soda and the vinegar mixed together, they create a chemical reaction.

And that causes the bubbles to come out.
And we added the color so that our bubbles look more colorful and more beautiful.

We don’t want to just see clear bubbles, right?

And don’t forget to clean the table.
