Taste is one of the five senses. It is the sensation that a human or animal experiences on the tongue when eating. Usually, there are the tastes of sweet, sour, bitter, spicy, and salty.

The tongue is composed with many varied taste buds. The surface of the tongue has different areas. For this reason, tongue is divided into areas; each area can identify different tastes. The front of the tongue has buds sensitive to sweet, salty on the back sides of the tongue, the sour taste is on the front side of the tongue, and the back of the tongue there are the bitter taste buds.

Tasting game
What you need:
Suger/Rock candy, Chocolate, Banana，Apple, Red Pepper, Red Onion, Ginger, Lemon, Vinegar, Salt, Bitter Gourd, Tomato
Objectives: Children will use their sense of taste: sweet, sour, salty, bitter.
What you do:
Cut food items into small bite size pieces.
Add a toothpick to each piece and place on a plate.
Pick one piece and bite it. Tell other people what does it taste.
Variation: One child covers his eyes with a blindfold. Hand one piece to the child and let him/her taste it. The other children ask: ”Does it taste sour? Sweet? Salty? Bitter? Is it hard or soft? The child answers the question.
When the child finishes eating the food, he or she can remove the blindfold and find the food he or she tasted. Does it match?

What do we need for today’s experiment?
The first one is this.

It looks like water, but It’s not water.So don’t drink it.这是白醋
This is called vinegar. 美[ˈvɪnɪɡər],it has a very strong smell , it’s a liquid with a sour taste.

Next we have our six test tubes.And we can just take the cork [kɔːrk] right out and put it to the side.

Next we need a tray.This tray is very important because you want to keep your table clean.

We also need some baking powder, okay.小苏打

And we also need a little funnel. 美[ˈfʌnl]

And then we can do the experiment together.
The first thing is to put our six test tubes on the test tube rack.

Step 2 : put our little funnel in there.
And then we need to open our baking powder.
You can have your mom or dad help you, or you can do it carefully.

Just take that off, just like this. And then open it up.
Make a little crease there so you can pour the powder easily.

We’ve put our color inside.

And we’re gonna quickly pour the vinegar into all the test tubes.
Start from one side and go all the way to the other side.

Oh my Gosh, amazing! So beautiful!
Wow it is so beautiful, hey, it’s pretty cool, huh?

You see when the baking soda and the vinegar mixed together, they create a chemical reaction.

And that causes the bubbles to come out.
And we added the color so that our bubbles look more colorful and more beautiful.

We don’t want to just see clear bubbles, right?

And don’t forget to clean the table.

06.【会喝水的杯子- The magical drinking glass】 Torres妈妈整理

Today I have a really cool experiment
to show you called the magical drinking glass.

For this experiment, we’re going to show you a plate, a lighter, some blue- tack, a candle, stirrer，some food coloring, some water.

First, we’re going to stick the candle with the blue tack to the middle of the plate,

Next. We’re going to mix food coloring with the water.

Then this is what we use this rod and mix it up.

Now we’re going to pour our mixture onto the plate.

Next, we take our glass bottle. And remember, with the lighter we must ask your mum for help. Because messing with the fire is very dangerous.
