moon心心念念的海洋馆终于提上了日程，对海洋馆的热情始终不变，基本上福州大大小小的海洋馆都逛了个遍。

妈妈：海洋馆到了！

M: Let's park then we will go tocheck the ticket.

M:maybe we can take a map and pamphlet ['pæmflit小册子.If we do not the way,ask the map.

I. Salt Water Animals 海洋动物
1.sea turtles
M: Let's start with South Pacific Sea Life section!
妈妈：咱们从南太平洋海洋生物区开始吧！
Oceans, or seas, contain salt water.海洋，或者说大海，里面是盐水。
Do you see any sea animals you know?你看到什么你认识的海洋动物了吗？
B: There are some sea turtles and sea urchins [ˈsi: ɜ:rtʃɪn] .宝宝：那儿有一些海龟和海胆。
M: Very good.
Look at their spikes [spaɪk] .看它们的刺。
M:Can you find sea turtles in your book?
B: yes,I find it.
M: well done.Sea turtles live in the ocean.sea turtles can grow to be very old , even up to 50 years. They can swim with their long and big fippers.The species is over 220 million years old.They lay their eggs on land.Some sea turtles can hold their breath for as long as 5 hours.Their hard shells protect them from predators.
M：do you know what does the ea turtle eat?
B:Grass.
M:you should be proud with youself. this is a green sea turtle,it eat only plants ,but other turtle eat crabs and jellyfish.

M:next ,we will go to see jellyfish.can you tell me something about the jellyfish?
B:jellyfish is soft.no bone
M:good job.They do like Jelly. They don't even have bones. A jellyfish is 97% water.

They have soft bodies, and long stinging, poisonus tails.

Those tails are called tentacles( /'təntəklz/触须). Tentacles help jellies catch food. And some tentacles can sting. The sting helps keep jellies safe.

A jellyfish is soft . It does not have bones. Look at the bell. It is the body , it's soft and squishy [ˈskwɪʃi]湿软的;黏乎乎的 . Look at the tentacles [ˈtɛntəkəlz]触须 ,they feel for prey 寻找猎物 , they sting too. Look at the arms. they are thick,they grab prey . Look at the mouth . It eats prey whole . It also gets rid of waste .它还可以去除废物。 Jellyfish can be many colors, they come in may shapes and sizes. Jellyfish move slowly Some push water out of their mouths to move . They like to eat plankton 浮游生物 , small fish , shrimp and more. Jelly fish lay eggs,but baby jellyfish look very different from their parents. Jellyfish are also called Jellies , because they are not really fish . Jellyfish were alive long before the dinosaur. 3.Octopuses
Octopuses have two eyes and four pairs of arms.

Octopus has a hard beak, with its mouth at the center point of the arms.
章鱼有一个坚硬的嘴，它的嘴在手臂的中心点。
Octopuses have no internal or external skeletons. With this octopuses can squeeze through extremely tight places.

Cuttlefish 乌贼/墨鱼
其中cuttle古意表bag，口袋的意思。可记为装有墨汁的口袋。
特点是除了很多短触角，每一变都有根很长的触角。
Squid 鱿鱼：
一眼看去，鱿鱼最苗条，整体造型像红缨枪的枪头，又被称为枪乌贼。也被称为锁管，笔管。
Octopus 章鱼：
有8条一样长度的爪子，俗称八爪鱼。
“软式三兄弟”的共同特点：
它们都不是鱼；它们都能喷墨汁！
Squid, Octopus and cuttlefish can squirt ink to esacape from predators.

4.sharks

The blue water is surging overhead, and fierce sharks are passing by. This is the mysterious and magical "shark corridor". 湛蓝的海水在头顶涌动，凶猛的鲨鱼在身旁穿梭而过，这里就是神秘奇幻的“鲨鱼甬道”。
There are more than 30 kinds of creatures in the exhibition area. There are stingrays with flapping wings passing by；sea eels hiding in the rocks to watch around； lazy green sea turtles are sleeping ；hawksbill turtles；Whitetip reef shark；blacktip reef sharks；shovel nosedsharks； Nurse shark；sand tiger sharks that look fierce. 该展区有30多种生物，有扇动双翅的鳐鱼滑翔而过，妖娆的海鳝躲在礁石中好奇张望，懒洋洋的绿海龟趴在不远处睡觉，还有玳瑁，白鳍鲨，黑鳍鲨，如犁头般的犁头鳐，性情温和的护士鲨，看似凶猛的沙虎鲨等。
M：look around , there are so many sharks here . This one is sand tiger shark, it is a big shark with crooked 扭曲的 and sharp teeth .They look much scarier than they act.
M：It gulps 大口吞咽 air to hold in its stomach , it uses this air to float. They always hunt for prey at night. They like to eat fish, squid, stingray and crab. They swallow the fish and snap at another.It is hungry for seconds ! Do you see how toothy 多牙的 sand tiger sharks are ？

What are sharks?

Sharks are a type of fish.Sharks live in the ocean.They are the largest fish in the sea and have been around for over 300 million years.There are over

350 types of sharks. Most sharks have lots of teeth.Sharks do not have bones,rather a skeleton completely made of cartilage[ˈkɑːrtɪlɪdʒ]软骨.They can live for 25 years.

Sharks have lots of sharp teeth. They may look scary, but guess what——a lot of sharks are harmless.

5. stingrays
You can see the beautiful spotted eagle ray、cow nosed ray 、leopard whipray and the baby blacktip reef shark here. 这里您可以欣赏到体态优美的燕子鳐、牛鼻鲼和豹纹魟等，还有黑鳍鲨宝宝。
M: Do you see any sea animals you know ?
M: There are many kinds of stingrays in this tank.
M: Stingrays are fish with flat bodies and long , thin tails. They look like kites or wings !
M: Most stingrays live in the ocean and some live in river or lakes.
M: Look , they are flying over our head. They glide滑翔 smoothly through the water , They can eat fish as they swim . A stingray has a mouth on the bottom of its body. It use its gills to breathe .
M：A stingray has eyes on the top of its body. It has a long tail with a spine on it . The spine has many sharp points and holds poison [ˈpɔɪzn]有毒性。A stingray may sting people of fish if they come too close to it.
There are many lovely marine creatures such as Rapana, starfish, sea cucumber and hermit crab. 这里栖息这红螺、海星、海参、寄居蟹等多种可爱的海洋生物。
The treasure box and the mini waterfall beside the rock, the submarine station lit by starfish. 海底宝箱、岩石边的迷你潮汐瀑布、由海星点亮的海底空间站。

第一次看到背面，有种呆萌呆萌的感觉，好可爱啊！

6.starfish
M: look at the starfish . Starfish are shaped like a star , they have spiny skin. They are not fish. They are found on the ocean floor and in coral reefs [ˈkɔːrəl riːfs]珊瑚礁。 They have many colors, such as purple , red , pink, orange or white ,some are blue . Starfish have hundreds of tube feet. They help sea stars move . Starfish have eye spots , but they can not see. They can use these eye spots sense light and dark. They like to eat clam蛤蜊，scallops 扇贝 , oysters 牡蛎 。
M: You can touch starfish here, but you should wash your hand first and to touch them gently .
M: What do starfish feel like? Are they soft and slippery 滑滑的 ?

M: Oh , no. this kind starfish feel rough .

M: Now,let's go to the next zone .

7.Lionfish
M: Look at this colorful fish . This one is a lion fish . Lion fish live near coral reefs in warm ,shallow waters. Lion fish move along the reef at night to search prey and rest during the day . They hide in cracks in the reef.
M:They have stripes . The stripes can be red , yellow , white or black . They breathe through gills 鳃 . They have long fins . some fins look like feathers. they use their fin to trap preyin small spaces. They like to eat fish, shrimp, and crab. Lionfish has long sharp spines between it fins, they use their spines to sting and protect itself . 8. hermit crab
M: The hermit crab is over there. They need sand , they like to dig , they also need salt water. They need shells , They change shells as they grow. They like to hide and climb.

Walking into the seahorse Kingdom, you can see a variety of sea dragons , and a rare species called Weedy Seadragon. It looks like an alga floating in the water. It has green, orange, gold and other body colors. 走进海马王国，可以近距离观察到形态各异的海龙，更有珍稀物种--草海龙。它的外观既像海草又像龙，全身由叶子般的附肢覆盖，仿佛一片漂浮在水中的藻类，通体呈现绿、橙、金等体色，是海洋生物中杰出的伪装大师。
Seahorses also reproduce in a very different way. Their babies are born by their fathers. 海马的繁殖方式也十分与众不同，它们的幼子是由爸爸生下来的。如果足够幸运，您也可能观察到海马爸爸生产的有趣现象。
M: Do you see any sea animals you know ?
M: Yes，there are so many cute seahorse here in the tank .
M: Seahorse are fish,but they look like horse . They use their tails to hold on to plants. A fin on a seahorse's back helps it swim. They swim in pairs. They hook 钩住 their tails.
M: Seahorse can change colors if they are in danger . This helps them blend in with their enviroments融入环境. Seahorse live in warm oceans. you can find them in shallow water 浅水区. It's long snout sucks in food. (用长鼻子吸食物）.
M:Seahorse lay eggs. Male seahorses have a pouch . They carry eggs inside the pouch. No other male animals do this .
M: Seadragons are fish too. They look like ocean plants. They float freely through the water. They are not fast or dangerous. But they are excellent at hiding . Most of them found in shallow ,warm water. Seadrogons are small with thin bodies and long tails. Weedy and leafy seadragons look like leaves or weeds.(杂草）， they also have small fins like seahorse , they are not good swimmer too.
M: They are beautiful ! 10.Coral reefs
Coral reefs, known as marine rainforests, are one of the most diverse habitats in the world. 珊瑚礁被称为海洋的热带雨林，是世界上最多元化的栖息地之一。
Some live in the caves of coral, some patrol on the reef, some climb on the sea fans or sea whip, or lurk in the bottom floor. 有的栖息在珊瑚的分枝间或礁洞里，有的在珊瑚礁上巡游，有的则攀附在海扇或海鞭上，或潜伏于底质里。
M：Look ate this fish with black and white stripes on its body. it named Moorish idol, they have many tiny spines on their back , which are as flags flying in the wind .
M：Look at this huge tank, there are so many colorful coral reef fishes swimming in the water. 11.clownfish
M: Let's look at the clownfish. Clownfish are small tropical fish. They look like underwater clowns with their bold 明显的 colors and markings. They live in the warm , shallow water of coral reefs . There, they make their homes in sea anemones [siː əˈnɛməniz] 海葵 . They have orange bodies, with three white stripes and black lines go round the fins . Fins help them swim . The female drops hundreds of eggs on the rocks. Baby clownfish will come out of the egg few days later. They like to swim around the sea anemones, they keep it clean and look for food .
A clown fish is a small, tropical marine fish with bold vertical stripes or other bright coloration.
It lives in close association with anemones（海葵） and is protected from their stings by mucus(粘液)
一种小型的热带海鱼，有粗大的垂直条纹或其他鲜艳的颜色。
它与海葵密切相关，受到粘液的保护。 12.Penguins
There are 18 known penguins in the world, most of which are distributed in the Antarctic. 全世界已知的企鹅共有 18种，多数分布在南极地区。

In order to provide them with a more comfortable home, the aquarium has created a simulation of South Africa's beaches, oceans and even resort houses. 为了给它们提供更舒适的家园，海洋馆模拟营造了南非沙滩、海洋，甚至还有度假屋。
M: Here is the penguin exhibit . (企鹅馆）
M: Can you do a penguin walk?
M：Many penguins do live in Antarctic [ænˈtɑːrktɪk] 南极，but some can live in temperate [ˈtempərət] waters. (温和的水域）They have white stomachs .Their backs are black.
M: Penguin have flippers, flippers help them swim fast. Look how smoothly that penguin dives into he water .
M: Penguins are birds . But they don't fly . They swim. They are more like fish . They are a little different from other birds. 13.Seal
Seals are not fish. They are mammals. We can see their hair. Look at their flippers, they help seals swim. 【白鲸表演馆】
The last project is watching the beluga and sea lion performances.
M: Let's start with Beluga [bəˈluːɡə] Performance Hall , Let's have a seat .
M: They have beautiful movements, flexiblebodies弹性的身体 and funny performances.
M: Beluga whales are also called white whales. They are noisy,they make loud whistles. They use these noises to communicate. They have small flippers . Look at their head , it is a bump on the head, it is called melon. They like to eat crabs and octopuses. They dive deep underwater to hunt their prey . They are long as a car and heavy as three fridges.
M: Dophins are ocean animals. They live all around the world. Dolphin skin is smooth and gray . Their teeth are small and pointy. They have flipplers for swimming , They breathe air through a hole on top of their head. They eat small fish . They like to swim in the ocean . They play and eat all day .
Dolphin is a small toothed whale that typically has a beaklike snout and a curved fin on the back.
一种小型群居齿状鲸鱼，背部通常有喙状的鼻子和弯曲的鳍。
Dolphins are very intelligent. They can talk to each other by making different sounds.
海豚非常聪明。他们可以通过发出不同的声音来互相交谈。
Dolphins sleep with only half of their brain and with one eye open so they can watch for predators and other threats.
海豚睡觉时只有一半的大脑和一只眼睛睁着，这样它们就可以观察捕食者和其他威胁。
Dolphin 海豚：颜色浅灰，嘴是尖尖的，体型稍小；
Beluga 白鲸：颜色是白色，嘴是圆一点的，头上还顶个大包，体型较大。
Blue whale is the biggest animal in the ocean, and the biggest animal in the world too.
A blue whale is even longer than a bus. Blue whales are bigger than even the biggest dinosaurs!
A blue whale's heart is as big as a car.
Whales aren't fish( like sharks), so they have to come up to breath air. They are manmals, like mice, but SO MUCH bigger!
Blue whales aren't just big, they're loud! whales can make sounds as loud as an AIRPLANE taking off.
A blue whale's food is teeny tiny itsy bitsy krill. To fill up, the whale has to eat 40 million a day.
II. Deep-Sea Life深海生物
B: What's in this aquarium?宝宝：这个馆里有什么？
M: This part is full of deep-sea life.妈妈：这个区域都是深海生物。
That is the sea animals and plants very deep in the ocean,where it is cold and dark.
B: Are there monsters in the deep sea?
M: I don't think so
M:Let's look at what they do have.咱们看看他们有什么。
Look, there is a cusk eel.看，那有一条雪鳗。
An eel is a long, thin fish that looks like a snake，but ell is fish.
The tanks are kept dark and pressurized [ˈpreʃəraɪzd] for the deep-sea life.为了让深海生物适应，这些水族箱都要保持黑暗而且加了压。
They are a lot of work to take care of.它们需要做很多工作来照料。
Wow, we have already made it to the end of the salt water life section.哇，我们已经逛到海洋生物区的最后了。
Time to see the fresh water exhibits.该看淡水馆了。

III. Fresh Water Animals and Plants

M:They are fresh-water bodies.它们都是淡水水体。
They don't have salt in them like the sea.它们不像大海一样有盐。
In this tank, we can see some piranhas [pi'rɑ:nəs].
在这个水族箱里，我们可以看到一些水虎鱼。
They are from the Amazon.它们来自亚马逊河。
They have sharp teeth它们有尖尖的牙齿，
and are quick to eat meat!而且吃肉很快！

They have catfish!有鲶鱼！
He has whiskers like a cat.它们有像猫一样的胡须。
Mom: Yes, they are very common in the Mississippi River.

He likes to eat things from the bottom of the river.
