Please keep in touch :)</p><p>Best,</p><p>Kate</p> <p>Media Intervention Statement </p><p>Xuewu Zheng</p><p>Professor: Kaitlyn Collyer </p><p>05/18/2020</p><p>I use the Bible book and cotton to make handmade paper, and make a wooden mold of small cubes, and then put the bible pulp into the mold to manually press it into a small cube. </p><p>Control the concentration of Bible pulp to create different colors. Wait for each cube to be completely dry, then use the typeface to print on the paper cube with a hammer, leaving a trace of the text.</p><p>The visually simple cube color blocks are much more interesting with the printed text. </p><p>Each bricks on the famous Great Wall of ancient China is printed with a text logo, and the bricks and tiles of ancient buildings also have such printed logos to record the name of the manufacturer or other information.</p><p>When I show this works, it will arranged in the style of an ancient city wall.</p><p>Bible books are cultural carriers that can be read and are important objects of religious belief. After being polished into pulp, all visible text no longer exists. I think two things are meaningful: First, challenge people's sacred religious beliefs and the cognitive concept of a book or an object as a printed matter.
